Thanks for the feed back dragonstomper I will look into this stuff. And river patroller I want to know how to save basic programs, then action and such etc. and where to save them. I could get a tape drive or disk drive, but where is the best place online to obtain them and whats the cost? Not that Im on a budget, I would just like to know. Also can you describe the advantages and disadvantages of save and csave commands please? Gotta make sure I know my Atari stuff

Hy what is the best way to save programs on and written on an actual Atari 800 xl? I really want to play with it but I cant stand the thought of not saving. I also cant stand emulators most of the time . Sorry for not being here in a long time, I was very busy with other manners, however I am very happy to return and stay.​

I always had a love for old school programming and computers, anyway later on I will chat with all of u guys about other awesome Atari things. Thanks again and hopefully I won't be as busy

Hello, what cable or converter would I need to hook up an Atari 800 xl to a US tv with my rt cable. Please provide me an link or name of a product so I know exactly what I'm looking for. also, for a cassette tape drive that I can save basic programs on, could I use any type of cassette drive or just the Atari branded ones or are there certain cassette drives that I can get more easily these days. Also, how do I get new tapes to save programs on? Meaning what kind of cassette tape is it? I am ok with collecting old blank 80s cassette tapes but if they still sell the kind of cassette tapes used on old pcs back in the day that would be better because I can get all I want. Like what is that type of cassette tape called, because I know it is not just audio like as in music on a walk man. Thank you in advance and I am happy to be apart of the Atari community. ?
