  1. Nice link. I'll take a look at my console again. It's very different from that one. Perhaps older or newer. The one in question is a 4 switch Atari I bought new in 81 I think. Still have the box. I'm happy to have it working again.
  2. That worked guys thanks! At first I tried it with an Activision cart but nothing changed. Tried another one and after a few attempts the concord was up. The first cart still won't play but I'll try to get a better look at the contacts in it. This console was stored in no Texas attic so it's nasty inside. Any advice for general clean up inside. Is it oK to spray some contact cleaner through the switches? I was thinking a light q-tip swabbing OD the rest of the circuitry to remove some of the dirt etc
  3. Thanks. I'll try it tonight!
  4. Let's try this for the pics http://s1224.photobucket.com/user/nathand2/library/Atari Thanks for the tip by the way!!
  5. Ok. I give up....how do you post pics? Is there a FAQ for that?
  6. Hi everyone New to the site and this is my first post. I dug my 2600 out of the attic for the first time in 25 years and this is what I see on the screen. Accompanied by a nasty sound or loud beep. I checked the voltage in and after the regulator chip and that is correct at 5volts after reg. I tried a new RF cable and no difference. Any ideas?
