Sorry to dig up an old topic, but I'd like to tap audio directly from the CPU and bypass everything else to lower interference for recording. I'm not interested in the "stereo" effect, so taking the mixing pot out of the equation , how best to combine the two channels to sound identical to the stock mono mix? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Interested in seeing some comparisons of the scanline mode between the BenVenn and Mcwill screens. Also, is it possible to switch to the BenVenn after having a Mcwill installed?

You might need to replace the rubber conductive pads if they're worn out, it will feel mushy once they're too far gone.

Is this screen compatible with the Model I? I only saw a version for II on BennVenn's website.

Thanks, got it. Must have been some oxide build up on the contacts, it is working properly now after popping it in and out a few times.

Anyone had trouble with Batman Returns? My display always corrupts during the first level. I have a McWill LCD mod, so I'm not sure if its the LCD or cart causing the issues. Unfortunately I don't own a real copy of it to compare.

A man of his word! Nice review, loved this game as a kid. There's not too many level-based exploration games like it, especially on the Lynx. I really wish I knew about Slime World as a kid..

My Lynx II had a hand written strip of paper over it with 0410201011081987. When I compared that to the above I realized it wasn't the real one, so i pulled it off and the original is there very faintly: Lynx II - Y12C1016978 (last two are faint, but pretty certain)

Cowdog does amazing work. McWill screen + recap/zener/mosfet + new speaker + new rubber button pads + polished lens = happy Lynx gamer for a long time to come. Just send him your Lynx already!
