I had the same issue you're having and I got the same response from Cyber Gadget. As I live in Brazil and I couldn't reach the Amazon seller, I insisted with them and they agreed to repair my RF unit. The only issue: I had to send the main unit to Japan. So I sent it to a friend who lives there and sent my Retrofreak to the factory. 4 weeks later, they sent it back to my friend. Just a week ago, my friend sent the unit back to me here in Brazil. They not only repaired, but also updated to the v2.0 firmware. Got tell you that now I'm relieved but also kind of afraid of the problem repeating itself when trying to update to the v2.3.

Hey, everyone. It seems my problem was bigger than I thought. After trying to update several times, with no success, I gave up and decided to stay with my 1.4 version. I've been playing the Retro Freak normally, but because of a trip I left for a week. Yesterday, when I tried to turn the RF on, the console was not passing the main title screen. Now I'm trying to turn it on, but I always get stucked on the same screen. Guys, can someone help a brother in need? I'm not managing to update my Retro Freak from the V1.4 to the V1.5. I always reache the reboot part of the upsate, but the console is freezing after the reboot countdown is over. I've read all the instructions in the post and googled to see if anyone had the same issue, but after freezing I have to shut it off and the turn it on again to see that the RF had the same V1.4 firmware. I've uploaded to the V.14 FW using the .dat file RF sends to te SD card, but the V1.5 doesn't require. I'm kind of lost here. Thanks so much in advance.

Unfortunately, for my first post, I bring sad news: http://www.play-asia.com/retro-freak-gear-converter-for-game-gear-sega-mark-iii-sg-1000-/13/709flf I was about to purchase the Retro Freak Gear Converter and noticed that they changed the date of release. Now the item is expected by Aug. 31. That's a total bummer!!!
