I received mine at age 11 in 1981. I had it operational for maybe 5 or 6 years. I played games, my 2 favorite being Parsec and Tunnels of Doom. And yes, I maybe one of the few that likes Alpiner. I never had Extended Basic. But I did program, Basic games for myself. And animations..and Music. I also had an Apple IIe I played a few games on. The TI went in the closet for good when I got my Amiga 500 in the early 90s. That's when the seed took root and began to grow. A few years later and I moved to PC when Commodore was done. Been there ever since. Old TI was discarded, old Amiga was sold. Then maybe 5 years ago I purchased an Amiga 500 system complete with HDD. And just a few months ago I purchased a TI-99/4a. And I'm back to programming it. In Extended Basic for now. Assembly Language next. The we'll see where it takes me from there.
And through this I married and still am in 2016 at 25 years with 4 children. My children are a school teacher, a horticulture whisperer, a rock star and a...engineer possibly. 25, 24, 18, 16. All musical, none interested in computers, retro or otherwise. Wife is the Boss, I'm the enforcers, we laugh, alot. Everyday. We're best friends.
And that's about all I have to say about that. That being me.
