  1. I finally cancelled my purchase, because I found out that like an idiot, I had the difficulty switch on difficult, and it was messing up some of my games. And for the Harmony, I realized that the software I used to update its BIOS was ''badly'' installed, so I reinstalled it, reflashed it, and it works like a charm now. The only problem that I still have now is that a few games (like Pitfall, Chopper Command and Towering Inferno) are only in black and white. My switch is probably the problem since it does not work whenever I use it. (Oh, and I opened my Vader and it already had a socket in it, by the way, haha)
  2. I bought the chip and this : https://www.ebay.ca/itm/5PCS-New-40pin-40P-Pitch-2-54mm-DIP-IC-Sockets-Adaptor/251076887502?hash=item3a755943ce:g:LjIAAMXQDrJR0~ih Hopefully everything will work as expected for once hahaha.
  3. As the title says, I'm looking for this chip. I bought a Vader a while back and had nothing but problems with it since then. The BW switch used to work but does not anymore, some games (like Oink!) are not working properly and/or crash and on top of that, the Harmony Cart I just bought just won't boot. Anyway, I was looking for advice and/or to purchase one here. Yes, I've already emailed Best-Electronics. I've seen this kind of chips on eBay : https://tinyurl.com/ybfzltho and I was wondering if they are legit and compatible with the 2600 ?
  4. Thank you very much for the advice. Do you think a lower voltage could have affected the chip ? I am a bit confused about the pins, where is located pin 21 exactly ?
  5. Oh, so it's the switch ? Yeah, that make sense. Weirdly, I can't find any solder joints that could be problematic, so I guess it's the switch. Do you know if there is any tutorial out there that could help me with removing and cleaning the switch ?
  6. They're definitely not PAL games, and for the switch, it never worked, for some reason.
  7. Hello, I'm kinda new here. I've been browsing the forums for a while and I finally decided to create an account today. Alright, so I recently bought an Atari (the Vader one) with a bunch of games. I don't have the official AC adapter so I'm just using a random universal power supply made by Chateau. So far I didn't have any problems, but recently, after I've opened my Atari (I wanted to switch the awful RCA cable inside for something better), some of my games started to only display black and white colors. I have 44 games, and only 12 of them are affected by that ''syndrome'' (they worked fine before, by the way). Here's the list of the games, if that can help : Missile Command Defender Night Driver Circus Atari Space Invaders Pac-Man Laser Blast Boxing Seaquest Chopper Command Towering Inferno Combat
