  1. Everyone has blogs, it has gotten to the point where people have too little time to read other peoples blogs because they are too busy blogging. My viewage count since 2013 WAY WAY WAY Down.... It doesn't help that search engines keep changing their algorithm to make it nearly impossible to find anything but the same exact thing over and over again, and the constant changing of "SEO" which is on a pay to win model in the current state. Nevermind social media integration and mobile optimization(also keeps changing FYI). Never mind the advertising monitzation programs taking advantage of websites, and starving bloggers due to need for mass popularity improvement all of the time in order to even make a few bucks a month if that. Google adsense being the worst.
  2. Retrobit only good at making their consoles with compatibility solutions, What they are bad at : EVERYTHING ELSE except in their handhelds, and then it is battery issues and stacking issues. IE, Retroduo portable with retrogen attachment with gamegenie with sonic & knuckles With sonic 3. It looks like a marker lightsaber and is more fragile. Also the sound ALWAYS sucks because it is ALWAYS mono on their handhelds. But yeah their controllers out side of their handheld units tend to blow chunks everywhere like after thoughts even though they are not commonly after thoughts as they sell them separately commonly. Retrobit should stick to what they know and improve on what they lack, and STAY AWAY FROM controllers. That Snes30 looks nice but I have never used it. But if they make a genesis one which one would they make it based off of? 3 button or 6 button controllers?
  3. How to start a project in general: Figure out the tools you need to make it. Value if those tools are worth it -Yes- Continue to step 3 -no- go back to step 1 and find different tools -no I don't like any of the tools- Reinvent the wheel - No I don't want to re-invent the wheel- quit Figure out what your project is going to be, make the first steps in planning it out, Learn how to work the tools change 3's plans around how you learned to use the tools, and figure out what can and can't be done with them. learn how to do what you think can't be done with work arounds. make the basics, the menu's HUD. Make environment graphics Make a player object Make a enemy base object make your gameplay make your sounds add them to your gameplay ADD polish to all graphics, and sounds Fix all da bugs or you will never hear the end of it. Release maybe Figure out how you can get it on multiple platforms maybe sell maybe Profit maybe?
  4. Out of the third party controllers, there are few you can even order from in the "new" category back in the day there was plenty of options but hyperkins is "Mmmk" as in acceptable but not really good, it's dpad is lacking, like in most of the controllers but is a bit better than most cheap third party. I really have yet to find one that is on par or better than the 1st party options.
  5. I have been testing out the entire library of genesis games out on the 2016 white 80 built in with mortal kombat model. So far from what I have tested these games don't work: ANY 32x games (doom 32x, esc...)(I tested them all yes) ANY Sega CD games(Can not load the format) ANY Sega master system D: (had a attachment works in plenty of emulators, but not this one) ANY Gamegear Games D: (can not load gg format) MOST roms not .BIN (But can load some for ODD reasons it is selective) Ninja Gaiden Bubba n Sticks Buck Roggers Centurion - Defender of Rome D&D - Warriors of the Eternal Sun Double Clutch (Music plays that is it) Double Dragon III / Double Dragon 3 Dragon Slayer F-22 Interceptor / F22 Interceptor Frogger Granada Greatest Heavyweights of the Ring Games that boot to title screen but gameplay doesn't work normally: Animaniacs (Opening crashes, Passwords do work) Brams Stoker's Dracula Chuck's Excellent Art Tool Animator Clay Fighter ( D; ) Combat Aces (Beta requires teleplay or something like that) Contra Hardcorp (Plays but levels don't play right, you teleport back and forth between random places and background doesn't match collision) Fatal Fury 2 - error in line 1111 emulator 4 4 4 4 4 Funnyworld-Balloon Boy - Has some odd DRM that prevents game from being played Final Zone - title screen glitched and gameplay crashes on player damaged Game Genie ( For obvious reason this isn't a cartilage system, the menu system works how ever) Gauntlet 4 (freezes on title) Gauntlet Arcade Version ( Freezes on title) Golden 20in1 Menu (Bare Knuckle-Rambo 3-Tetris) - crashes on starting any games Harry Potter (Start button on main menu doesn't work no buttons do) King of Fighters '98 Mulan Pocket Monsters 2 I have only gotten up to H in the testing and I am posting it to my site, The difference between not working entirely and just the title screen is games with passwords can potentionally work if you use a level select code to get to the first or second level skipping cutscenes that may cause crash. Like Animaniacs does. How ever I did exclude most sports titles how ever, even with that I have 666 roms to test, (no it's not a joke, it just ended up with that number of roms after removing most of the sports titles) Part of the issue is where you get your roms from as well though.
