  1. Do you have info you can share about when the press release will happen and which major retailer will be carrying it?
  2. Cartridge support would be great but stick a SD card slot in it and shrink it down to Classic NES size with two controller ports and HDMI out. Bump the price up to $99 and sell it direct and or to boutique shops as a special edition. Keep the lower tier models on the market for the Average Joes/Janes to buy as stocking stuffers around the holidays.
  3. It's frustrating that this late in the game, Atgames still hasn't released the final list for the Activision version. What's the hold up? Licensing agreements?
  4. Unfortunately, I'm not handy with repairing electronics. I just want a fully functioning Atari so that I can relive my childhood ; ) How reliable are the 2600 Jr. models? The Vader picture quality is pretty bad also. I'm wondering if it makes much sense to invest any more time or money in this particular unit.
  5. I found this video useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXVSCirAhYA Except mine is worse and I couldn't quite fix it. It works when I push up on the plug or lean the Atari up on it's face. What's even worse is that I found cobwebs, remnants of a mud dauber nest and rust around the base of the circuit board. This Atari was clearly left in poor conditions for a long time. I'm surprised it works at all. I cleaned it up the best I could and I was able to get a full refund from the seller (minus shipping) so I'm not too upset. However, I was hoping to be able to play some Warlords with my kids. I also just ordered a Harmony card.
  6. Hi, I picked up a used "Vader" 2600 off of ebay. I've narrowed an issue down to the left controller port. The regular Atari joystick works fine, but not when I plug in a set of paddles. The issue seems to be with Paddle 1 (or whatever you would refer to it as). The button works, but I get no movement out of the paddle. Paddle 2 works fine plugged into the left controller port. Both paddles work as I've tested them with Warlords on the right controller port. I'm thinking it may be a dirty connector or worse a bad solder joint. I figured before I open it up and do anything I would check in here to see if anyone else has had this issue. Thank you, Mathew
  7. Some thoughts from a newbie to the Atariage forums: As a kid I remember ET frustrating the hell out of me. Constantly falling down pits and the creepy government spooks stalking me. However, I still played the heck out of it and probably enjoyed it. I could beat the game which is something that did NOT happen with Raiders of the Lost Ark or Fireworld. Raiders tried to do too much and instead should have focused on simplified versions of key scenes. Sort of like how Krull was done. The reliance on a comic book for clues and contest tie-in made FireWorld indecipherable. I liked Pac-Man but I'm pretty sure my dad thought it was crap. It was the reason he bought the Atari in the first place. I don't remember him playing the Atari very much after his disappointment in that game.
  8. Cosmic Ark Not sure about this one as I haven't seen it mentioned but Pitfall II would be great if possible. Adventures of Tron. Title screen is garbled up which is a shame as otherwise it plays ok.
