  1. Non-working is fine, so if it's dead I would still be interested. Dead is actually preferred since I'm using them for a project and hope to avoid that silly money you mentioned
  2. I am looking for one or two of these. Non-working is fine.
  3. Does anyone know if Jawbreaker had an error label that was covered with a corrected label? Or perhaps my copy somehow went through the labeling process twice.
  4. I’m bumping this rather than starting a new thread. I have a Starblazer Space Command belt that doesn’t make all of the sounds it should. It’s a very simple toy, so I’m guessing the issue is with components on the board. The switches and buttons do appear to have an effect, so my hope is getting it recapped will help. I’m willing to do it myself if no one does this sort of thing, I just need help figuring out what I’m looking at to order the parts.
  5. I wish I could find the perfect controller for this system, but I have yet to do so. Ideally, someone would make replacement shells for some of these controllers with Atari branding on them! I would love to take a Master System or NES controller and drop it in a shell that matches the aesthetic of my 600XL.
  6. I’ll give it a shot then! I saw some pages saying it was okay, others saying it wasn’t okay, and even saw a page showing that it needs rewording to work with Atari equipment. Maybe the XL systems are more compatible. This page was showing how to make it work with a 7800. https://www.instructables.com/Retro-Atari-7800-Mod-Sega-Master-System-controlle/?amp_page=true
  7. I'll join the line for a PokeyMax 3.
  8. Has anyone tried using a Sega Control Stick (3060) with a 600XL or 800XL? I want to be sure it will work without frying my 600XL before plugging it in. I'm guessing it will require some sort of rearranging of wiring inside based on some reading I've done, but other things I've read say Sega controllers work without issue.
  9. It worked previously, but something happened to the CPU between the time it was last turned on and the installation of the video mod. Doing a CPU swap brings it back to life. My other thread is a bit confusing since I didn't understand everything about the PAL vs NTSC boards at first. I was hoping adding the 5-din connector from a PAL board would be enough to add the feature to an NTSC board since the contacts were already there on the NTSC board, but I learned it needs to be populated with many additional components for that to work. In the end, I took a PAL 600XL's connector and put it on my NTSC board along with the UAV, then I put it in the PAL case to avoid drilling a hole. I even swapped over the serial number sticker on bottom. Everything is working great now, plus I have a spare NTSC board to pull components from if needed. It has already proven handy since I had a failing ANTIC on my working 600XL.
  10. Luckily, I have a spare 600XL with a bad CPU chip. Swapping the ANTIC chips CO21697 did the trick. No more glitchy lines on the right!
  11. Swapping in a 74F08 didn’t resolve the issue. Oh well, it’s not a deal breaker 😊
  12. I appreciate that and will definitely take you up on that offer! I'll send a pm.
  13. I've looked at the spec sheet and some other pages, and it appears the prefixes and suffixes before and after 74F08 are meaningless. As you said, they appear to be specific to different manufacturers versions. The best deal within the USA appears to be these Motorola branded chips. I will wait until tomorrow to buy just in case anyone has additional advice. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154550062807?epid=1018330238&hash=item23fbe6ced7:g:bRgAAOSwXaxhAxr-&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4GH8gusJAdAiaNmIu%2F%2FgmgCWkDciFesNK7WYKNrDTYV3QRew9vhw55WODE1V9GbYtNwft%2B8OfaS9QY3P%2Fu6Nl%2BRpi15ZWpd%2FUXqk484HR6l%2BUQo1MRMwU%2F0zap8ds%2Fbm71Z3FvlFwy1JS7FvN0pz4Q%2FH9K4Z0VkA3sIdZIPDrk1%2Bzjra4AUdI1io8QMOma9kDC7%2F%2BoDSvg9ncvVb3NE1BKiSWtyfyKFxfdfpTdfJxnHlIcUXPlvcLhJxExneWglqBMveksiB6fvMGKbisv5veVcpOSNNB7KotT%2F4KUHRA%2BmK|tkp%3ABk9SR6DLhtCeYg
  14. Are there any other chips on the 600XL board that you would recommend replacing with different part numbers? The place I am getting the 74F08 from has a minimum order requirement, so I might as well update everything on the board that will benefit from replacement by a newer chip. Alternately, I see some chips on ebay that have 74F08N and 74F08D on them. I would pick up one of those if they are compatible. I'm not sure what the letter at the end signifies.
  15. Is this the chip I should try in olace of the 74LS08? https://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&pa=287013&productId=287013
