  1. Got a bunch of old Atari games up for auction: LINK!
  2. I picked up a 7800 the other day to replace my previous but there were a couple of things that I noticed that were different? Don't know if this is something that is pretty common or what? First, my previous 7800 came with a detachable power source. The new one came with power hard wired and a very different looking power brick. Second, the rainbow color band is slightly different? Don't know if this is common or not? Third, the cartridge port is a little different with a extra piece of plastic near the top? There is no sticker on the back of the new 7800 so I can't find a production date. I've included a pic. The top 7800 is the variant and the bottom is the one I was replacing.
  3. I've got a ton of stuff up for auction including an Atari Touch Me and a lot of Commodore 64 software and gear. eBay Seller: trip_cannon http://www.ebay.com/sch/trip_cannon/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  4. Old issues of EGM - Great condition. #28 has their first announcement of the Jaguar and a nice section on the Lynx. http://www.ebay.com/sch/trip_cannon/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  5. Selling one of my Androbots - http://www.ebay.com/itm/332131268598?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  6. My experience with the "make an offer" thing is it is by default checked when you use the "buy it now" mode of selling... It's happened to me where I get an offer and I'm like, wait.. I didn't have make an offer selected? Did I? And sure enough it's checked... so a lot of people may not even know about it...
  7. I've got a couple of items up for auction. http://www.ebay.com/sch/trip_cannon/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  8. Interesting read on Steve Golson of GCC fame... http://www.usgamer.net/articles/steve-golson-interview-the-story-of-ms-pac-man-the-atari-7800-and-the-hyperdrive
  9. Most are CIB and in good condition... http://www.ebay.com/sch/trip_cannon/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  10. You can argue the same for movies, books, and music... yet there are hundreds of sites for those subjects.... so the point is does anybody know of a site like that for video games?
  11. Does anybody know if such a site exists? A comprehensive site of game reviews with an average score from critics and then general public?
  12. Wasn't there a magazine article or something somebody had posted a pic of that stated that the game (Electrocop) was very playable and a standout for the 7800 at CES? I'd be willing to bet money that even if the prototpye was destroyed there's a hard disk out there with the files still on it...
  13. Xenophobe is very playable. But just like a lot of 7800 game it just seemed to not be complete. It's missing characters, missing certain elements from the arcade, a lack of direction - no real ending or goal. Karateka is just a half-assed game all around. Missing a lot of elements that made the Apple, C64, etc. conversions a classic. And when you look back, there really isn't a reason why these things are missing? The creators cut out all the things that made the game edearing. For me it was the cut scenes. Like when you're running toward the castle and it cuts to one of the enemies running toward you, building suspense. And the controls are hideous....
