Supplemental to my previous post: I had an older BIOS version on my UDS10 (something 5.0.x) and "Autoincrement" wasn't available there. I had to perform a BIOS update. Just clicked on a link in my test site. Instead of not being able to resolve the hostname, it gave me "Downloading webpage failed ..." So, resolving is sort of working, but not in the address-bar. And my guess is, the downloading failed because of my older v9.2 version - so normal behavior there - i think.

Update: I've got my CF7+ (SMD-Version; see my prior posts) working. 1) Take 5V from the LED power. See yellow circle in second picture. 2) desolder Pin11 (PC-side) from DB25 and connect it to the 5V LED power. See red circle in first picture. Reason: Pin11 (PC-side) is triggered by CRU >1306 in the newer CF7+ versions and it conflicts with CRU >1300 (ROM/LED on) if connected. This is the reason, why the old way of patching isn't working any longer. Testing: For testing I wrote a little Linux program in C as listener on my /dev/parport0 and on the TI-side I printed a small basic file: >LIST "PIO" and it's working. Didn't perform other tests though. Maybe some smart guys here can figure out, how to handle this more professionally. Note: I also wrote a simple basic program (RXB2005) to trigger the PIO CRUs manually without the patch above by using CRU >1306 as the ACK signal. And the communication was working also. So in theory all signals are available on the CF7+, but to make it work, would mean to patch all existing programs

Awesome - thank you so much ! It's working... sort of ... ...while it's working with IP-addresses, it does not resolve hostnames. Guess it's only working for v9.3 (TIPI) and above now. Yesterday I've got my first NanoPEB v1.1 (yay!) and set it up together with my the UDS10. Terminal Emulation II is working. So cable, UDS10 and TI seams to be operational. I could successfully log in into my linux-box. Now I wanted to try Stuarts Internet Browser, but am totally lost. All ROM-links at his page are down. The only version I've found for download, was one in this thread (v9.1), but it's not working. I guess I need the appropriate settings for my UDS10. The only settings I can find are for >=v9.2, but these are settings for TIPI, as far as I understand, and are not working for me. Can anybody tell me the UDS10-settings for v9.1? Or does any newer version of Stuart's browser exist for the NanoPEB? If so, could anybody point into the right direction? Or did I miss something much bigger, and Stuart 's internet browser isn't developed any longer? Any help is highly appreciated.

Hallo Fred, thanks for the reply. I got a response from Custodio Malilong. He said, he's going to check the connection with the newer CF7+ version. Let's wait and see - I'll report back. EDIT: I do have an old parallel port ? - I know, PIO bit-banging with USB isn't possible.

I want a modern web browser to display http://wagnerstechtalk.com/ti99/z.htm correctly A native support of <99ml> in current web browsers would indicate a step closer to world domination. ? OK - but now for real: I'd like to see more webpages for Stuart's Browser ... ... and a compendium or a small search engine for <99ml> websites also realized in <99ml>. This would make me want a TIPI even more.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I know, TIPI or the upcoming SDD 99 is/will be a much more versatile solution. For file-exchange I use FinalGROM 99, so it's more like challenge to figure things out and get it to work. I ordered already the part for the cable (DB25), so since I don't have a DIP-version either, this is likely gonna be a futile attempt, too. With the NanoPEB, as well as the F18A I was late to the game. The only think available back then (2017) were two CF7+. The NanoPEB isn't on my wish list any longer. Now I'm waiting for the SDD 99. Hope won't miss this one. For F18A I'm still hoping to get a MK2 one day it's been released. I read all CF7+ search hits here, and was able to get a bit more information than from the manual. The only mention in the CF7+ manual regarding the printer port are these two lines: Guess, the initial intention of this port was to print only. Glad to see one took it one step further and implemented the CFHDXP1 and TI99HDX server - Thanks! Anyhow - I would really like to hear people's experiences regarding the parallel port part of the CF7+.

Hello, here I go bumping an old thread ... because that's what I have: A CF7+ question. Hope anybody can help. I've got a CF7+ around 2018 (see pic below). It's working fine, but now I want to hook it up to a Ti99HDX-Server. Lockdown --> Spare time According to the TI99-Geek, one have to add a wire to the CF7+ and build a special parallel cable. The pictures on his site depict a different CF7+ card and he's also calling it CF7A+. Here are my questions: Is my CF7+ version able to connect to a Ti99HDX-Server (see pic below)? If no: is there any other chance of some kind of connectivity besides (maybe) printing? If yes: what cable do I need? Do I have to build the same cable, as suggested by the TI99-Geek, or would a standard parallel-cable suffice? If yes: do I have to mod my version of the CF7+ with a wire, and if yes, how? How do I find out, what version/firmware my CF7+ is/have? What other software supports the CF7+ besides CFHDXP1 and DSK2PC? And what is an CF7A+ card? Is my card outdated? What is an HDX mod and can I convert my CF7+ into an RS232-card somehow? If no: Is there any chance to use TELNET (or other TCP-related stuff) with a CF7+? My CF7+ w/o IDE-Interface: I know, ... many questions. But after poking around for quite a while here and other places I couldn't find anything really tangible to my problem. Hello Metthew, well, as you already know, I also read all of the 34 pages! Twice!! *kidding* - "I'm impressed!" is a really weak expression for it - Wow! Regarding your statement on the "F18B" (like Rasmus humorously suggested ), it's a firmware update, and would be something like V1.9 or V2.0, right? So people on your waiting list wouldn't get an 'old' version of the F18A-board, only a version with firmware V1.8, which will be updateable to your new "F18B" version someday? And thank you for the hint at the http://js99er.net regarding a fully working emulation for the F18A. I didn't know it, and this info never showed up in this thread IIRC. @Rasmus: Very very impressive! And thank you for the hint at the IDE (https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/) - Do you use the free version of it and do the xdt99 tools support F18A, or do I have to use "DATA" for the GPU-part? Your answers were perfect, at least You've tried hard, because my questions arose from my still almost infinite ignorance regarding the basics of the TI-99/4A design, so You couldn't done it any better.
