Hi Group, , Been a very long time since I replaced a set of memory chips On the TI99/4a main board. My question is , found a person that Has some replacement TMS4116-25 memory chips. What I was looking for Was the Original TMS4116-15 , that are in the 99/4a . , Does anyone know if these slower Memorys will work as replacements and any effects or problems they might cause ? , Also does anyone know of a good source for the faster TMS4116-15 Memory ? Or possible does anyone have a bunch they would be willing to Sell plus shipping. , His Basic price per chip he has is .85 CENTS to $1 per chip plus Shipping. If someone has them at or near this price , please PM Me. Thanks for any info in advance TI998owner on atariage Lee

Hi Group, Need a little help. This evening , had one of my CorComp Floppy Disk Controllers fail . Short across main 5 volt Regulator. Tested, replaced the regulator. Found That the short started in U12 the second PAL chip on the Board. , The chip has FDC-U12 on the label. The chip is a PLS153AN Printed on the chip itself. , Does anyone have replacement PAL Chip Available ? Or does anyone Have the correct iNFO to program a replacement PAL For this CorComp FDC ? , Thanks in advance for any help or Info getting this repaired. TI998owner Lee

Hi Group, I need a little help with a Hexbus Printer/ Plotter HX1000. , The unit did not come with a AC adapter or the Color or Black PEN set. , Can someone that has a HX1000 printer /plotters, check the Voltage and current listing on the ac adapter and tell me If the correct adapter is a AC9203 with the voltage and current Of 9 Volts and 700 MA. I found a listing on DataMath.ORC for The HX1000, but want to make sure it is correct. The listing They have for the CC-40 is not correct. , Also does anyone have a source for the ( 4 ) color Pen set Or a place on the web they can be ordered from that is listed In English and accepts Paypal. , Does anyone also know what other printer/ plotter from Different company's PENs set were comparable with the HX1000 pens set, and the model number and company ? I would also be interested in buying a extra set from someone Here in the group , if anyone would happen to have any . , Next , does anyone have a Schematic for the HX1000 ? , The rechargeable Battery's need replaced, anyone know What the correct battery,s , I.e voltage and current And a source for them as well ? , With the battery's disconnected and a bench supply In there place , the HX1000 seems to function . Just no printing because I don't have any Pens Available to install. , Thanks in advance for any help or Info Please email or PM me Lee

Hi Jon, Just read your question about the Ti-74 and the CC-40 being able to Address each other over the Hexbus. There is the Master /Slave Option on the Hexbus. The trouble is so far no one has been able To make the partial Prototype program, Texas Instruments published In there listing for the Hexbus , related to the TI-99/8 . , Over the past 5 weeks I have been reading over a lot of the Mag,s and newsletters Published on the CC-40. Looking for information I might of missed On just this subject. I did find this info about a working Prototype Software package that Texas Instruments , produced for the PHP-1300 Hexbus adapter for the 99/4a computer. , Listed in ENTHUSIAST 99, Sept 1983 issue Bill Gronos ( Senior Technical Editor ) wrote.... , The Hexbus Adapter along with TI included some Prototype Software that allows the CC-40 to use the 99/4a disk drive and also to Display Data on the monitor screen. This software must be loaded on the 99/4a computer and the 99/4a and the CC40 are plugged into The Hexbus adapter. , Our best bet , would be we could find this Holy Grail Missing Prototype Hexbus Software, it would probably be a very good starting Point , to make all Hexbus computers talk to each other. , LOOKING FOR 99/4a HEXBUS prototype Software package from that Issue Back in 1983 , Anyone can Help, please e-mail me Thanks I. Advance TI998owner Lee -

Hi Group, , I for one would like things to stay as they are. I go all the way back to 1979, 99/4 , then upgraded To the 4/A , then in 1984-5 got my TI-99/8 . I have Purchased all most every version or proto type Produced by Texas Instruments, except the 99/2 , It a bunch of fun, and I agree with JON, don't break Up the CC-40 Forum. It easy to find and read as it is. , Thanks in advance, just my 2 cents of Happy Time Lee TI998owner -
Hi Group, I am trying to find a download of the original 8K Constant Memory Manual for the CC-40 Computer. , The manual should give details on how to transfer CC-40 Basic programs from the computer to the memory Cart and also how to transfer the same program back To the CC-40 from the 8K Constant Memory. , The TI-74 also has this available , using it 8K constant memory , but the command is different.. , Thanks in advance for any help with the download or the list Of commands for the 8K Constant Memory Cart for the CC-40. , Lee TI998owner

Hi Jim, , Can you check the PRInt layout on the extender board. Comparing the first extender board to the new design , it looks like the board has been turned around, with The printing going the wrong way. , I.e like CROM and Vplug are on the end where A13 and GND Were at on the first board run, if you compare the Two board designs, for the extender. , Thanks, let me know Lee
