  1. No. Polyvox "Mr. Chin" is the "Dancing Plate" game, from Bit Corp. "Dancing Plate" is originally released in Brazil by CCE, with other 8 games from Bit Corp (like Mr. Postman, Boby Is Going Home). This two game, in fact, were very popular here. I don't know why Polyvox released this carts, and others (like Popeye, Frogger, Space Tunnel etc), using Activision cases ! Maybe, I think, because the competition with others small companies that make lots of others games from others companies (Polyvox had only license to release Atari games).
  2. Yes, this appears to be a 2600 version of Turbo. Maybe is true. In 80's here in Brazil, the Dynacom company (the same company that release the portable 2600 called Megaboy) announced this game in your catalog. But I never see one im my hands. []'s Eduardo Luccas Sao Paulo - Brazil

  6. Hi people !!! Some commentars: Pizza Chef is a bit rare here, in Brazil, but no much. This cart is released in lasts "series" of cartdriges from CCE. Unfortunately the label, in the cart that I used to dump, is very very bad. I try to find a good label. But label of this cart is equal to some labels; CCE released one carts series with a "standard" label, changing only the name of the game. We really don't know how CCE get some games; not only CCE, others companys get games that not released in USA. Donald Duck's SpeedBoat is an example; I have one brazilian cart with this game. Now I try to get a Pizza Chef manual; when in my hands I will scan and distribute to all. I hope all people enjoy the game.

This device is very similar with the "original" Supercharger from Starpath, but we have reported that Canal 3 sold K-7 tapes with 8K games, like Ms. Pac-Man, Zaxxon, Centipede and Vanguard. Unfortunately I have no one for analyze the circuit but I think that Canal 3 make some modification on the hardware.

Yes, is perfectly possible, and is not much difficult. Take the cartdrige slot pinout. The pinout is exactly the pinout of a 2732 EPROM, except by the chip select line, this is need to inverted. So, follow pin-to-pin connections between cartdrige slot and EPROM, except for A12. Take A12 line and use 1 74LS04 gate to invert this line and connect to pin 18 of 2732 (/CE). Your cart is ready !!! Of course you need to burn the EPROM with a game program. And you need to build a PCB with a 24 pin edge connector to plug in 2600. I hope this helps.

  12. [QB]@ Eduardo Ludday You mean really a 2800 the japenese version of the 2600? Thats cool, I wish I had such a thing. I have many japanese games for the Nintendo consoles and some for Sega consoles. But no for the Atari. Yes, it is the japanese version of Atari 2800 This is an interesting machine, it's look like an Atari 7800 (the case is the same) and the all switches are not mechanical, all difficulty, color-B&W are a "digital". [QB]Hello Luccas: If you were able to pinpoint a defective circuit, maybe you're able to perform the composite video mod, the video signals that are sent into the RF box are in composite format (chroma, luma, sync, audio). I think that's the only way to save your 7800. ... Hi ! Thanks for help. Composite mod is a good option but the console is not mine, it's my friend's console, and he want to get "original" RF output, he not want to do any modifications. Because this I'm try to find what is the C10174 chip in the RF modulator box. BTW I live in Mexico. Is nice to see that many ppl in Latinamerica are getting into the Atari hobbie.   14. Hi! I have one Atari 2800 and it have a problem: don't display correctly image. I have dissasembled and I think the problem is in the RF modulador. Opening the modulator box, I found one chip that I think is defective. However, I don't know what this chip is. It have an Atari code: 10174. Anyone knows what this chip is ? and does exist some equivalent ? Thanks.
