My top 5 arcade games of all time. Actually built a replica T&F cocktail cabinet years ago. Gr8 fun. BUT .. never played it on the 2600 . Gr8 port. Only played about 7-8 times to post the score. Quite amazing how relatively close it feels to the arcade based on the consoles ability. Felt like I'd played it before! Deteacher's earlier tip is spot on. Short shrows. I clamp the cx40 to the carpet with my left hand (using thumb and index finger), on the bottom left corner of the stick, and short throw wiggle the stick right at the tip. I press the button with my middle left finger. It's not my wiggle hand that is sore, but my left clamp hand!? Some good scores getting posted.
So far, I've scraped my NES, MAME, and Game Gear sets. The next big scrape will be the SNES. Also, if I add a game, will it rescrape that set, or go for the added game?
The scrapper will check your current set from the beginning. If the rom data has already been downloaded, it will skip to the next rom and check. It probably cycles through the roms at 1 sec per rom or so (if the rom data has already been downloaded). If it gets to a new rom, it should download the data just for that rom then conintue its cycle check. Maybe a few minutes on a large rom collection.
Hard to tell on the pic, but looks like your 2 cart slot dust protector tabs have been broken off. They push into the 2600 tab slots, opening up the systems little dust protector flap. Try turning your 2600 upside down and then carefully wiggle the cart in. Over the years, the little mechanism that opens the dust cover becomes weak and can be opened by turning the system upside down, as aforementioned.
