  1. Sorry to dig this thread up, but I'd like to know how to hard mod some sort of power cycle to my Heavy Sixer 2600? I installed Tim Worthington's rgb kit, and I installed the extra push button in my controller to select game mode, reset current game, and cycle through installed palettes. I'd like to ditch the palette selection, for a power cycle function instead. If this is not possible with Tim's kit, I'd be willing to wire up another pushbutton on my controller. Please help!
  2. I installed Tim Worthington's rgb kit in my Heavy Sixer, and I also added the extra button to my controller, so that I can select the game mode, reset, and change the palette. But is there any way to alter the power cycle of the 2600 with the switch in the on position? I don't like constantly flipping that 43 year old switch a bunch of times. Thanks for reading! If I'm able to ditch the palette function for the power cycle, I'd be game for that.
  3. The OSSC is fantastic, but you'll need to upgrade your 2600 from RF. I wonder of a VCR/ossc combo would work?
  4. I installed Tim Worthington's 2600rgb kit inside my Heavy Sixer. I want to know if there is a better ac adapter to use for my 2600, cause I believe I'm getting video noise from that power supply. Any help would be great, thanks!
  5. As a test, with my Sega CD running, I would like to disable the RESET button on my Genesis, from resetting the Sega CD back to its title screen & ejecting the tray. I've been looking at the expansion port diagrams online of the model 1 Genesis, to see which pin handles the RESET function, but I don't know abbreviations for that system, the only thing I see is DISK, so idk if that's where the connection is when you press the RESET button? The point for all of this, is that I have a hard reset function via button combination with my 6 button controller, which takes me back to the Mega Everdrive menu, I can exit back from both Gen/32x, but not within the Sega CD. I want to be able to get back to my menu from within the Sega CD, but I need to disable the RESET function.* If anyone knows which trace to sever, please let me know, thanks! Edit - Or, is there a way to change the Sega CD, from checking if a cartridge is connected or not, to always present? Cause from the Everdrive I'm able to select any CD bios file to start the system, so I don't need the Sega CD looking to get permission.* Please help! Thanks!
  6. Thanks everyone! I'll try eBay to see if I can get the switch bezel.
  7. I recently purchased a light sixer, and noticed 90% of the lettering for the switches is faded. Is there a way I can restore how it used to look? Here are 2 photos. Thanks everyone! :-) http://imgur.com/a/78a0P http://imgur.com/a/KPfBB

  9. Does anyone happen to have a spare one on hand, or willing to sell one of these? I have a model 1 VA2 system. The system produces *faint* jailbars. I have lifted pin 50 of the VDP, I have cut pin 6 of the Sony CX chip and ground it to pin 1 of the same chip. I have removed C28 from the bottom of my motherboard, and I have even recapped the entire system with brand new capacitors. I am using an RGB SCART cable with CSync, and using a $50 SCAT to HDMI converter. I am very happy and content with the image it produces, very clear and sharp, but I really want to completely remove all the jailbars. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks for reading. :-)
