  1. Could you please send me a PM with his e-mail address?
  2. My CoCos are crying out for this device. Problem is, Zippster is sold out. How can I get one?
  3. Okay, so an ATR for a DSDD disk would be 360KB-384 bytes+16 bytes.
  4. The first three sectors of track 0 being 128 bytes long, is this just on side 0, or both sides of a DSDD disk?
  5. I would like to know the file sizes and ATR headers for SSED(1050) and DSDD(XF551) disk images.
  6. Mmm, budget titles. I forgot that was a thing in Europe. Brand new commercial release of a game for less than $10US(equivalent) was a thing in the UK. "Budget" here in N. America pretty much bottomed out at $20. It really doesn't make sense to pull out the stops in porting software when the margins are that slim.
  7. I've seen several videos of games that are purportedly running on MSX machines, but the graphics appear to be straight from the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, complete with color cell clashing. Why did this happen? It can't be that hard to switch to using hardware sprites. I am beginning to believe that it was not laziness or incompetence that lead to the "Lazy Spectrum Port", instead it was vindictiveness.
  8. Is it possible to wire up a cable that goes from the CoCo's bit-banger serial port to the RS-232A port on an Epson(LX-810) printer and expect the printer to work? Is a DriveWire cable w/ a gender changer a solution?
  9. The display on my CoCo 2 has gone weird. What has gone wrong? I'm guessing either the (Extended)Color BASIC ROM, a RAM chip, or possibly the SAM. Second opinion?
  10. Update here. I was unable to buy the linked item. So I need help sourcing a PHP 1220 PIO cable that hooks up to an Epson 2180.
  11. It makes sense, since both machines used Microsoft's interpreter. Does MSX Basic use a screen editor, or a line editor?
  12. I have two RS tape recorders, a CCR-81, and a CCR-82. Both of them have problems. The 81 has a broken Eject mechanism, while the 82 has dodgy belts and/or slipping gears. I would like to have them repaired, but I don't quite have the chops to do the work myself. Can anyone refer me to someone skilled in tape machine repairs in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area?
  13. Okay, so putting the computer, software, and manuals along with the PEB would give a ballpark figure of 50lbs. That shouldn't cost too much to mail. I'll give arcadeshopper a couple weeks to sell me a dual-drive install kit. Once that's done, it'll be time to put the system up on eBay.
  14. I'm asking the question because I need to estimate the total weight of a TI 99/4A system for the purposes of quoting a shipping estimate.
  15. I'm eyeing a couple sales of OS-9 lvl 2 on eBay, and there's an issue that makes me a little nervous. The labels have that look of either very old adhesive or a soak in WD-40. In case the data on them has been rendered unusable, have these disks ever been imaged?
