  1. Once i noticed the almost black traces and joints i kind of lost hope. I'll contact some local electronic repairs companies and see what if they can do anything with it., at least until it becomes uneconomical to repair. I wish I purchased some more of these, I recall my local Game selling a few dozen for £20 each, that would have been a nice investment and I'd still be able to play Theme Park. I'll pop back every so often if i make any progress with it Thanks for the assist chaps.
  2. Thanks for the quick responses, I've given the well used cartridges a good clean with some of the following; http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/servisol-isopropyl-alcohol-200ml-re87u?cmpid=ppc%3Ahome_electricals%3Apla%3Agoogle&gclid=CIWr1fXW_NMCFckV0wodxuYBJQ No help though, I've tried around 15 different games now and they all give the red jaguar screen so I'm beginning to think it's the actual Motherboard that's got the problem. With that in mind I opened the bad boy up to have a looksee inside to see if there's anything obvious, I've attached a few pictures. It's not a pretty site inside and it looks like the PCB at the back left is caput. I hope it isn't something daft like i need the controller plugged in to get past the red screen, I figured i leave it out of equation until I can at least get to the menu of a game As you can see by the cu tips the board is covered in gunk, what do you guys think? A lost cause?
  3. I've recently acquired my dad's Jaguar which has been chilling in his attic for the best part of a decade and I was hoping to plug this bad boy in and have a game of Theme Park or Brutal Sport Football. Alas with each game i tried my hopes were dashed, i heard the mighty Jaguar roar but was greeted with the red screen of doom. Blow after blow after blow and still it came back. I've checked the connectors, as best i can, and they all seem to be intact and relatively clean. There's a bit of rust on the power connector at the back but it's turning on without any trouble so i don't think that's the cause. Is there anything else I can try or is it time to scrap my best pal from the 90's?
