Hello Everyone!
I am old TI 99 fan from back when I was 12 years old, and, doing my best to reconstruct my old system with a few upgrades. I wish I had never sold it way-back-when I was a kid, as I got rid of all the software I wrote as well.
Anyway, I picked up a NOS TI 99/4 Expansion Box (the earlier model with a push-button about 5 years ago, and left it in the box, finally deciding to open it up. I don't run the TI a whole lot, but, would turn it on occasionally just to watch the blinking lights.
Well, at one point I turned the unit on, and the fan would run but the familiar brief blink of the boards inside didn't happen, and nothing was recognizable from then on in the PEB.
I have carefully disassembled the unit and nearest I can figure is the transformer in the unit went bad. I've probably owned 5-6 PEB's in my life and never seen this happen, but, I can't find any specs on it as far as voltages coming out of it. I did pick up a working PEB off eBay yesterday and expect it to arrive next week, and figure I'll put a working one back together using the transformer from the other one.
Does anyone have voltage information on the wires going over to expansion slots, or the 3 wires that go to the terminal in the front of the unit, or, finding a replacement transformer altogether? I hate to get rid of one of these things for parts as there's fewer-and-fewer around.
This is a picture I took of the transformer p/n.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Matt
