  1. Thanks Ricky! I will check it out! Matt
  2. Hello! I checked a couple other threads and perhaps I missed it so don't mean to post another thread on the same topic. I have a GoTek with Flashfloppy plus on it, and, I'm curious how this works with respect to software on the TI, and, if someone has the jumper settings to run it with a second drive. I'm inclined to make the GoTek drive 2 and have an optional boot off the floppy, but, I'm OK the other way around. I had a TI set up previously with a different GoTek and swapped that GoTek into a KayPro sometime back, so, I don't remember the jumper settings exactly. The second drive I have is a pretty standard half-height DSDD floppy drive. I have a twist cable and see some conflicting information as to whether I can use the twist or not, and what the jumper settings should be on the GoTek vs the Floppy. Finally, what software do you use with FlashFloppy to set up the images on the USB? Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate any direction people can give me. Thank you, Matt
  3. Just for quick reference, and, I'm sure the other thread covers it, the fuse is on the opposite side of the transformer from the wires. I don't think it matters much with respect to the plastic, certainly hope it doesn't need to be opened up again anytime soon! Matt
  4. Thanks Everyone! I really appreciate the help. I was able to chip away at the plastic on the transformer and it was indeed blown. Went out to the hardware store and I'll report back on the repair tonight or tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to wind up with an extra PEB out of this whole thing, but, we'll see how stuff goes with it. Thank you, Matt
  5. Thank you! Ive heard reference to the fuse. That would make a ton of sense. Matt
  6. Hello Everyone! I am old TI 99 fan from back when I was 12 years old, and, doing my best to reconstruct my old system with a few upgrades. I wish I had never sold it way-back-when I was a kid, as I got rid of all the software I wrote as well. Anyway, I picked up a NOS TI 99/4 Expansion Box (the earlier model with a push-button about 5 years ago, and left it in the box, finally deciding to open it up. I don't run the TI a whole lot, but, would turn it on occasionally just to watch the blinking lights. Well, at one point I turned the unit on, and the fan would run but the familiar brief blink of the boards inside didn't happen, and nothing was recognizable from then on in the PEB. I have carefully disassembled the unit and nearest I can figure is the transformer in the unit went bad. I've probably owned 5-6 PEB's in my life and never seen this happen, but, I can't find any specs on it as far as voltages coming out of it. I did pick up a working PEB off eBay yesterday and expect it to arrive next week, and figure I'll put a working one back together using the transformer from the other one. Does anyone have voltage information on the wires going over to expansion slots, or the 3 wires that go to the terminal in the front of the unit, or, finding a replacement transformer altogether? I hate to get rid of one of these things for parts as there's fewer-and-fewer around. This is a picture I took of the transformer p/n. Thanks in advance for any help! Matt
