I'm Badger - a DJ and Atari 2600 collector from Tulsa. It's great to be part of the Atari-collecting community.
Since I received my first VCS for Christmas back in 1981, one of my most obsessive collections has been my Atari collection. I currently own over 300 games with the boxes and manuals. It's a collection to which I feel a lot of emotional ties, since it relates directly back to my childhood and brings back a LOT of memories.
With the help of AtariAge and Paul Slocum, I was even able to propose to my girlfriend (now wife) using a specially-hacked version of "Donkey Kong" back in 2004. (You can read about that
here.)
I've been a
very fortunate collector. Some of the rarities in my collection include "Quadrun" (CIB), "Chase the Chuck Wagon" (CIB), "Crazy Climber" (CIB), "Tooth Protectors" (with manual), "Mr. Do!'s Castle" (CIB), "Q*Bert's Qubes" (CIB), "Halloween" (CIB), "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (CIB), "Rescue Terra I" (CIB except for the contest entry form), "Boing!" (CIB), "Demolition Herby" (CIB), "Subterranea" (CIB), "Pengo" (CIB), "Gremlins" (CIB), "Xenophobe" (CIB), "Smurfs Save the Day" (CIB with the Kid Vid controller), "Actionauts" (CIB), most of the Mystique/Playaround "adult" games (CIB), and all 12 Starpath games in their original cassette format.
I'm
extremely thankful for the luck I've had over the last three decades and the collection I've been able to acquire.
