  1. Yeah, it didn't take long for the highlights to go, but there's still plenty browse through in the main list!
  2. Edited bump. Fortune Street, still sealed for the Wii! The shrink wrap is fully intact. Asking $30. Sold! Here are two of four Mario Kart Wii "loose" sets now available, with disc, case, case paperwork and a Nintendo-branded steering wheel! Disc condition ranges from near perfect to a few visible scratches, none of which hamper playability. Asking $20 per set. All sold! This Mario Kart Wii set includes its original "Refurbished Product" box. The box was opened and is a little worse for wear, but still keeps its shape. Whoever did the refurbishing didn't quite seal the steering wheel bag fully shut, but you can still tell it hasn't been fully opened, and the game case is still sealed. Note that the "Refurbished" labels are actually part of the box and case cover, not stickers on top. Asking $25 for this set. Sold! Mario Party 8 with manual and case for the Wii! The case and especially the manual have noticeable wear, but are still fully intact. The disc has some noticeable scratches, but still read fully and without issue. Asking $15. Sold! Mario Super Sluggers, "Nintendo Selects" edition for the Wii, with manual and case! The case and cover insert have noticeable wear. The disc label has visible scuffing and the data side has many visible scratches, but the disc still read fully and without issue. The manual is in decent shape, with some minor curling and creasing noticeable along the edges. Asking $15. Sold! New Super Mario Bros. Wii, with paperwork and case! The disc has noticeable scratches on the data side, but still read fully and without issue. The case and paperwork are in good shape. Asking $15. Sold! Spider-Man: Edge of Time with manual and case for the Wii! The case has a bit of wear, while the cover insert and manual are in good shape. The disc has some minor visible scratches, nothing that impacted game play. Asking $10. Sold! Wii Sports Resort, factory-sealed! The shrink wrap is fully intact. Asking $30. Sold! Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with case and manual for the Wii! The packaging is in good shape. The disc has noticeable scratches, but still read fully and without issue. Asking $10. Sold! Several loose PlayStation 1 discs are now available, including these beauties. These particular five all have some visible blemishes in their data sides, nothing I would call serious and nothing that hampered readability. Asking $10 for Wipeout, $25 for Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (game disc only; soundtrack CD not included), $10 for Raiden Project, $15 for Terry Pratchett's Discworld and $15 for Jumping Flash! All sold! Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents under Pressure with case and paperwork for the PlayStation 2! The packaging is in good shape. The disc has some noticeable scratches and other blemishes, but still read fully and without issue. Asking $10. Sold! Last but most definitely not least, here is your chance to own one of the most sought-after PlayStation 2 titles out there, Def Jam Fight for NY, for a thrift-store price! The case has minor shelf wear while the cover insert and manual are in good shape. The disc does have several minor scratches, but nothing that looks worrisome and nothing that impacted readability when tested. Asking $100. Sold!
  3. I'd love a chance to test the new firmware, please.
  4. So you're saying this was a 64bit acquisition?
  5. I got this for Christmas and I've been having fun with it. I can't help but feel there is a missed opportunity though. Part of what made Atari so iconic was not because of the games they created, but also because of the games they were involved with, turning pretty much every game from the '70s and early '80s into an "Atari game". Space Invaders, Dig Dug, Pole Position, Defender... for one reason or another people who lived through the era will think of Atari just as readily, if not more readily, than they will of Namco, Taito, etc. And this collection addresses almost none of that. There is a blurb about the developers who left to form Activision, and surprisingly we do get a couple of Big Five Software titles, but that's it. I know, I know, "licensing is hard". And expensive. Well there is an obvious solution to that: DLC. I for one would happily chip in a few dollars more if, in addition to the package we have now, we could buy, say, a Taito collection with 2600 Space Invaders and Jungle Hunt, an Activision/Imagic collection with their heavy hitters (plus the best of the few third-party games the 7800 ever saw), a Mattel collection with some M-Network titles, a Namco collection, Williams, Broderbund, First Star Software, Konami... Based on previous third-party deals Atari put together for the various Flashback game lists, I'm willing to bet it's in their power to do so, and then this could turn into an even more satisfying collection. As it is, not being able to play the world's first game console killer app, nor the Lynx's pack-in title, nor the world's first third-party titles for a game console, makes for a rather spotty history of the company that was once synonymous with "video game". I imagine about the only company you couldn't get involved is Nintendo. And with only three games on the line, four if you count the very obscure Sky Skipper, that's a relatively small loss compared to what they could bring in. (Or perhaps 2600 Donkey Kong could be a Switch exclusive?) 🤔
  6. Rock Band 2 convinced me to buy an XBox 360, after I realized I was not going to get the full music-game experience on the PlayStation 2. I have ended up buying and playing quite a few more games on the console, but nowadays Rock Band 3 is about the only reason the 360 gets powered up (almost) daily. Come to think of it, Rock Band 4 on the XBone also qualifies.
  7. Magical! Yes, yes he is. And I'm so happy I got to experience that magic on both sides again this year! Yeah, this isn't our first rodeo, is it? But that's just fine with me. As long as this is a global community I'll do my part to help keep this a global event! Confession time: When I knew the box wasn't going to get there before Christmas, I told CaptainBreakout to let you know your Santa would drop you a line with at least part of your gift before the 25th. And then I bungled that too (getting sick didn't help). So I'm relieved you didn't have to wait too long after the big day. Santa will try harder next year (whoever his victim turns out to be)! Where do you think we are, back in '89??
  8. I continue to be absolutely spoiled by my Secret Santas, and this year is no exception. I mean... I mean look at this. LOOK AT THIS! And no, it isn't just the box! However, before you start judging anyone too extremely, you better read on. First, I was again humbled just by the amount of effort put into the presentation: A quick word about the candy. Well, several quick words. First, thank you! Second, I love Andes Candies, but for some reason I don't have them very often. In fact I might have mentioned this when HoshiChiri packed an Andes bar in my box last year. If that's where my Secret Santa this year picked up the idea, then I must commend you for your attention to detail, and your memory! If not, then rest assured I love what I got anyway! Notice how the wrapped gifts are numbered! It turns out I had some instructions to follow... And follow them I did! Gift #0 revealed... ...more candy! Santa explained he thought he should wrap at least something more, and that's why this was gift "zero". I can accept this explanation! Gift #1 was described as something I could kick back and relax with... It's not quite what it looks like. Look closer... actually, here, let me help... They're drink coasters! I'm not sure I'll ever use them as such, but I love them just the same! Now, little did I know I was going to be using my reference quarter a lot for these pictures... Gifts #2 and #3 "look amazing", Santa says. I'll be the judge of that. Okay, yes, they look amazing! 27 9 8"x10" (give or take) color glossy pictures of some of the most iconic video game boxes of all time, expertly scanned and printed. I'm just gonna hafta frame all these! Gift #4 was a box of "useful items" Santa had made for me. The description intrigued me... ...and what was inside delighted me! (No, the games themselves weren't included.) The next time I have reason to bring an Atari to a gaming convention, I'll just have to show these off! Now, gift #5 is the one I showed already, the one that just... I mean... look at it! Remember what I said about using that quarter a lot? I love it. (As someone elsewhere pointed out, you probably could build a functioning Atari this size nowadays! I think you'd have trouble fitting cartridges in the slot, though...) And finally, gift #5 was spoiled outright: a box of cereal! An odd gift to end on, to be sure. Santa even admitted as much, though he was nice enough to throw in some of the home made Chex mix he made from the cereal. He also mentioned he left the surprise inside... (Miku had to inspect both the boxes and the wrapping as I tore into my gifts...) Ho-leee cow! I mentioned in my gift suggestions that I'm a Floyd fan, and really I am. In fact, The Wall is my favorite album of theirs, and one of my favorites period! So when I pulled this out of the box, my jaw really hit the floor. This is amazing! I really have no words, except thank you, and I cherish this, along with everything else! So (another) big thanks to my Secret Santa, @imstarryeyed, and special thanks as well to @chicgamer and @CaptainBreakout for another great event. I hope everyone had as good a time as I did! I leave behind a couple of pictures of gifts my mother got me this year, just to further emphasize how much Floyd is a part of my life: A Delicate Sound of Thunder t-shirt, very subtly Christmasfied. And finally, Dark Side of the Moon jammies!
  9. Woohoo, a box has arrived! And I have it on good authority that I can open it before Christmas. I haven't quite yet, mostly because I've been a bad Secret Santa and took way too long getting my own box out. But it's on the way now too, so I'm probably going to tear into this bad boy by the weekend, once some other Christmas-related whirlwinds have calmed down. To my Secret Santa, thank you in advance!
  10. Edited bump. Conker Live & Reloaded, disc and manual for the XBox! The manual is in good shape. The disc's data side has a few very minor scratches, visible only in direct light, which do not affect game play. Asking $12. Sold! Capcom vs. SNK 2EO, disc and manual for the XBox! The manual is in good shape, with some slight scuffing along the top, visible in the picture. The disc's data side has some visible scratches, nothing major and nothing that affects game play. Asking $15. Sold! Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2, disc and manual for the XBox! The manual is in good shape. The disc has maybe one or two tiny blemishes that do not affect game play. Asking $15. Volume 1 for the XBox is also available! Both sold! Next up, loose discs for the Game Cube! All sold! Mario Kart Double Dash!! disc and case for the Game Cube! The case is noticeably scuffed, and so is the disc's data side. The disc reads fully without a hitch, though, so it's still perfectly playable. Asking $25. Sold! Starfox Adventures, Player's Choice disc and case for the Game Cube! No manual, but the original Nintendo Power ad insert is here! The case has some shelf wear. The disc's data side has a few noticeable scratches, but these are minor and do not implact game play. Asking $15. Sold! Starfox Assault, Player's Choice disc and case for the Game Cube! The case is in decent shape with just some minor shelf wear. The disc has noticeable scratches, nothing too bad and nothing that affects game play. Asking $15. Sold! SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, complete for the Game Cube! The case has only minor shelf wear. The manual is in good shape. The disc's data side has noticeable scratches, but nothing major and nothing that impacts game play. Asking $12. Two other SpongeBob titles for the GameCube are also available! All sold! Wii Play, still factory-sealed! The shrinkwrap is snug and fully intact. Asking $20 $10. Rock Band 3, factory-sealed "not for resale" edition for the Wii! The shrinkwrap is slightly loose, but still fully intact. Note if you decide to play you will need a microphone and/or instrument controllers. Asking $25 $20. Twisted Metal, loose for the PlayStation! The data side has many noticeable scratches, but the game still plays with no hiccups. Asking $10. A loose Twisted Metal 4 is also available! Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku, loose for the PlayStation 2! The disc has some minor scratches and other blemishes, but nothing serious and nothing that impacts game play. Asking $20. Sold! Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, disc and manual for the PlayStation 2! The manual is in good shape. The disc's data side has one or two very small scratches that do not impact game play. Asking $10. Two other Mortal Kombat titles for the PlayStation 2 are also available! All sold! Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, complete for the PlayStation 2! The case has minor shelf wear. The manual is in good shape. The data side of the disc has a few minor scratches, but nothing that impacts game play. Asking $25. Sold! Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, almost complete for the PlayStation 2! The Final Fantasy XII demo disc originally bundled is not here, but its manual is included! The case has minor shelf wear. The manuals are in good shape. The disc has some minor scratches and other blemishes, but still plays without issue. Asking $15. Sold! Game Boy Player and a loose start-up disc for the Game Cube. The disc reads without issue; I just need to make sure the hardware also works. Assuming all is well, I'll ask $100 for the player and disc. Sold!
  11. AtariAge better get cracking, then. 21 years old and still cool!
  12. Don't forget the minus worlds in Mountain King. The Atari 8-bit/5200 version has an intentionally hidden space, but from there you can go to a true minus world.
