  1. Yes, I own a copy in very good condition, and I regularly see them popping on eBay France. Very cool cartridge to have in a 2600 collection. It's an Atarisoft edition, but with a sticker which was originally intended for Atarisoft cartridges for the Colecovision console. It seems they're pretty common here in France, don't know why. Right now, there are even 4 copies for sale on eBay France, some pretty cheap! https://www.ebay.fr/itm/296259952400 https://www.ebay.fr/itm/135009057050 https://www.ebay.fr/itm/394980994010 https://www.ebay.fr/itm/294631982466
  2. Here's the bottom line of my thoughts, sorry for my questionable English. : The Atari 2600+ isn't another ATGames Flashback console nor the Atari equivalent of the NES Mini . The Atari 2600+ is a modern replacement for the 2600/7800 Consoles. The other mini consoles stand on their own with their integrated games and often have no possibility of adding other games as intended by the manufacturer. These companies won't lose money if you hack these mini consoles. The Atari 2600+ is part of an ecosystem . Atari plans to reissue old games in cartridge form and to market new ones, as well as accessories (joysticks, paddles, cables, etc.), all still 100% compatible with the old Atari 2600 consoles. To sustain the Atari 2600+ ecosystem and support it for the years to come, Atari needs to be able to sell cartridges. If the Atari 2600+ could directly play ROMs, it would undermine all the efforts made by Atari to revive this platform. The Atari 2600+ should only be able to use cartridge games. Those who want to play with ROMs have countless other solutions for that. Period.
  3. OK, you insist with no remorse. Lack of respect for Aspect Ratio (or LoRAR for short) is a felony here at AA. This crime is punished by "burning gallows" : You will be hanged and burned at the stake at the same time 😂🤣
  4. Well, i'ts a good idea, but you also said that you played in 16/9 aspect ratio previously ... So, let's say that the good idea makes up for it a little. You will be hanged rather than burned at the stake for not playing im 4/3 AR 😂
  5. Yeah you're absolutly right. Thank you for the clarification 👍
  6. Hey ! Someone forgot to sit on your tomcat box, that's not fair ! 🤔
  7. Wow ! So it was you! You indeed possess many talents! You've done a remarkable, thoughtful, and respectful job of Atari's heritage. Well. I suggest we officially call this kind of label Ben@Plaion label
  8. Yes i've got Planet Patrol, Gangster Aller, Tapeworm, and Crossforce ... like new but dead.
  9. Yeah ... half of my 8 Spectravideo/Spectravision cartridges, even though they look like brand new, do not work. Bitrot? I wonder if it's a common defect with cartridges from this publisher.
  10. By the way, who designed the new labels? Someone at Plaion?
  11. I correct myself: actually, if we count the Atarisoft label styles, it even makes it the 8th label variation for Atari cartridges.
  12. Yes indeed ! they are very similar to Red label cartridges. Modern? why not !
  13. I meant this : https://atariage.com/system_labels.php?SystemID=2600 Label variations make the Atari 2600 game collecting particularly interesting compared to other consoles. The label style on the new Atari 2600/2600+ game cartridges is the 7th variation after Text#, Text, Picture, Silver, Children and Red label. It's neither important nor urgent... but how should we officially name this new style of label? We should definitely give it a name.
  14. Maybe this is a stupid question but ... I was wondering while updating my detailed list of Atari 2600 games: Is there an official name for the new Atari 2600 label variation (10in1, 4in1, Mr Run and Jump, Berzerk Enhanced Edition)?
