  1. Just thought I would give an update: So I contacted Yurkie after seeing all these posts and really pressed him to return the NES and the items I sent him. He responded fairly quickly, at which point I told him I would have to file a claim if I did not receive my NES by the end of January. He sent it back relatively quickly, within about 10 days, and everything does work again. So he did follow through, but possibly only after seeing this forum thread I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase any items from him until he's able to respond to some of these issues and assure that he can deliver in a timely manner. I know shit happens but its obvious this has been going on to a number of people. If he can't deliver then he shouldn't offer his services until he's able to sort out his personal issues Guy does great work but 6 month turn around time is a bit excessive
  2. Well, I just hate to file a claim against the guy right after the holiday, and not to get personal but the reasons for the delays are pretty serious (family issues). I actually already own an RGB modded NES by Yurkie, which was purhcased on Ebay from a secondhand seller, and I can confirm his work is excellent; I've opened it and the wiring is immaculate. I really wasn't concerned until I stumbled on this thread and saw lots of other people having issues with him.
  3. I actually ordered a modded NES from Yurkie back in early August. It took a while to get, which I honestly didn't care about, but I finally received it at the end of September. Hooked it up, plugged it in, and found that it wasn't powering on. I contacted him asking if there was anything I could do or anything I could check, and he simply said "it was working when I shipped it". I remained calmed and explained "look, it's not working, could you help me troubleshoot it or would you prefer me to return the NES to you, as it likely was damaged during shipping". Weeks went on and he finally asked if I could send it back to him, including the AC adapter and SCART cable I was using. Again, weeks went by and I would check in with him at the end of the month, keep in mind i've been totally cool this whole time, asking him if he needs more time, what did he find wrong, etc. The last response I have from him was that he's really busy and he'll take a look at it, which was on december 5th. After seeing all these responses, i'm really concerned. I feel bad for the guy because he obviously has some issues going on, but at the same time i've sent someone on the internet nearly 300 dollars, plus he has my original OEM AC adapter and SCART cable. I have until Feb 15th to fill against him, but I really don't want to unless absolutely necessary.
