#4145572 PAL to NTSC Atari 2600 converter

Posted by HCRAYERT504 on Mon Oct 29, 2018 7:30 PM

PAL and NTSC both are the same in terms of the size PCB slot to my knowledge.

The problem you are looking at is a cheaply made non-uniform cart shell.

I have a number of Taiwan Cooper games that are NTSC but they wont fit properly in my 2600 or 7800 because of the cheap shells that are so poorly made.

I dont know if any solution.

Sometimes people will use something like a Videogame Brain as a pass thru device for cartshells that dont fit properly in their console. Its a Fairly common problem with Imagic, Activision and M-Network shells in the 7800.

Thanks, I'll try to open it up to insert the pcb by itself to see if it works.

See that computer in the background? That's a Burroughs B-205, a real computer from the 50's.

It was obsolete by the 60's.

It had no RAM; it used a spinning magnetic metal drum for memory.

It had no screen, only flashing lights.

And I want it. I hove no use for it. But I want it.

Primarily because it was used in a lot of movies: http://www.starringt...puter.html?c=45

Oh, look. I can rent one: http://woodysprops.c...?uid=195&page=1:) As I understand it, these were gutted & rewired decades ago, so they're not working computers anymore. :(

Lol

#3948120 Top 10 Gameboy games?

Posted by HCRAYERT504 on Mon Jan 29, 2018 4:08 PM

To get notified you have to be quoted - Like I did above

OR - you can follow the topic - there is a "follow this topic" button in the upper right.  You can choose to be notified on a schedule (instantly . . . to weekly) if there are updates in a followed thread.

Also, why not make some comments about the people who have responded to your video.  What do you think of the various lists posted?  Can you tell us more about what went into making your decision?  Maybe you could consider posting a list of your games in text and then some other games that didn't quite make it in?

Yeah I know that you can follow a thread I just forgot to follow this one.

Everyone posted some amazing games in their list, however I see a few games that are in every one of these tops which is understandable as a these games received praise for a reason.

10. Tetris

  9. Gargoyles quest

  8. Mario Tennis

  7. Wario land 3

  6. Final fantasy adventure

  5. The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons

  4. Shantae

  3. Pokemon RBGY

  2. Pokemon trading card game 2

  1. Pokemon GSC

As you may tell by the top I'm a RPG guy that's why the list has games such as Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Gargoyles quest, and the Legend of Zelda.

I also like platformer games but I could only include the ones which standed out for me the most, Gargoyles quest, Shantae, and Wario land 3.

Some of the games that I considered but didn't quite make it to the list are Trip World, Wario land 2, the Donkey Kong and super Mario land games, and Yugioh Dark duel stories. But there are many more great games on the system.

I don't like neither the Atari 2600 nor the Intellivision Version of Donkey Kong , for me the homebrew release for the 7800 Donkey kong XM is the best port
