S-video to HDMI converter (that's actually available)
Muddyfunster replied to Erzak's topic in Atari 7800
I've used an OSSC for a few years. It's quite good, like any solution, there were generally be pros and cons, depending on your desired outcomes and budget. I use the OSSC for more than just the 7800 as it would probably be OTT to buy a device like that for one console or computer. -
E.X.O. has a 512kb file size and my understanding is that the 2600+ will run that no problem if you load it up via Dragonfly (I need to test that). Not sure what the max size cart / rom is.

Popeye and Keystone Koppers wont run!

I suggest you use the "EVERYTHING BUT CONCERTO" demo from this post here. (the first one). This version works perfectly on the GameDrive. -
Congrats on the release gents

I got to spend some time with the 2600+ last night. So he's my impromptu hot take. I updated the firmware and stuff using the guide on the 2600+ forum. Pretty straightforward and easy to do. I think the packaging is really nice. Nice HDMI and USB cable. No plug, but for me it's no issue, I just used the PSU from my Pi4. Everything is presented well. The device itself is nice and compact, very tidy. My unit has some quite sharp edges on the lip at the side but other than that, it's very authentic and I love the little light up Atari logo. The joystick ports on the back feels a little "big" and don't seem to grip the db9 connector well. Didn't cause any issues though. I felt like games had a bit of input lag, not something I've ever noticed on MiSTer or emulation boxes like a raspberry pi. I probably need to tinker more and use a low latency game mode on the TV as reading a bit, that seems to be something to check out. I slapped in my Koppers cart and it just worked that did make me smile and it looked and sounded great. I then played one of my other favourites a bit, Smurfs and then a bunch of other 2600 carts (I think I lost a good hour to Yar's Revenge - a 7800 version of that would be nice). Overall, Lag issue aside (as that's probably a "me" problem with the TV settings), I'd give the 2600+ a solid 7.5 / 10. Ship it with a 2 button controller and it's probably a solid 8.5 / 10 (my 7800 bias showing).

Does it really ? Please show me where am I shutting down discussion. You asked a question as to why Penult was not considered a port. I answered it, because simply, it's not a port. I pointed you to the information about how that determination is made in the context of the awards. You linked some random youtube video because some guy said it's like Ultima 4. You admitted to playing neither game in question and then still proceeded to question how that information applies to Penult and Ultima. Despite never playing either game. So, what's the point in trying to discuss that with you?, when you have played neither game and have no frame of reference AND the information on the "why" is right there. A lot of your posts in this thread have been quite uninformed and this just seems to be another. (WIP timescales, what is a homebrew, commerciality of games, profits, categories). At this point it just seems like you are being a troll. Why ?

Thanks @sramirez2008! I wanted to just say a huge thank you to everyone that voted for A.R.T.I. and for supporting my projects. It's very much appreciated!
