Thanks for showing the fixed version on the show James, I caught the stream this morning on catch up, it was a late night too many for me this week unfortunately so I couldn't be there to cheer you both on! I just wanted to add, this demo starts the player on tower 2 (Tower 1 is skipped for this demo as the focus was really on getting feedback on the other towers). Thanks for pointing out the glitch with the frame grab, that's really helpful for me to pinpoint possible causes. I'll add it to the (now much smaller) list of things to fix. Also just noted on 2-5 you needed to restart, you can do a long hold of button 1 to restart the level (uses up a try). I'll add that to the in-game instructions. (Toilet = Homage to Jet Set Willy and the great Matthew Smith). [edit] Something else i picked up on, the drone that Queen Russet mentions is a noise, not a flying drone Once you defeat the tower (and smash the machine in the cutscene at the end) the drone is gone and the bridge gets fixed.

  4. Going to have another update later with a couple of minor fixes and some tuning (making it more challenging as your progress). That's pretty much all I plan to do with this project (unless any game breaking bug shows up). It was a little fun distraction and I hope everyone has fun trying it out

  7. I've replaced build 15 with build 16. Rom on the first post. (fixes a bug with level progression).
  8. New demo (demo2 - build 15) on the first post. Now with added Wilf. 15 bonus items to collect, cycle twice for 30 levels. After level 30 the rewards revert to chocolate. Who doesn't like chocolate? Bonus points for tank kills and bonus items now scale to 30 and are boosted beyond 30. If you collect all of the dots on a level and the bonus is spawned, it will despawn. Chomp carefully. Next demo : difficulty tuning, speed ups and more stuff if I find time! (probably some more cosmetic changes). I don't want to spend too much time on this one as I really need to get back to Wilf and Tower of Doom !
  9. I've probably been living under a rock as I'd not really noticed the little 2d Pac Man (Puku Puku) games that had been popping up. I saw @ZeroPage Homebrew's lovely 2600 version (Fantastic presentation and playability) and then I saw @CyranoJ Jag version and was equally impressed. Fun little games, switch your brain off and enjoy. I also found a lovely version for the PICO8 byt I thought I'd knock up a quick 7800 version using assets that I already have sitting around (some will be very recognisable). I started this Sunday night and finished it this evening, so probably about 5 or 6 hours spent on it. It's rough around the edges and there are a few glitches. That said, I present "Lola Lines" Help Lola (Bernie's lovely niece) deal with the terrible tank that she's trapped with. Controls Fire to start / restart on gameover. Left and Right to move. If you go off the screen, you appear on the other side. How to Play Collect dots to score. Collect Power Potions for limited ability to kill tanks Avoid Tanks when not powered up Once you have collected 1/2 of the dots a fruit or goodie will appear and move in a random direction. Collect fruit and other goodies for bonus points Scoring For each dot you collect you score = to the current level (so lvl 1 = 1 pt, level 10 = 10 pts etc). If you kill a tank, you get 10x the current level as points If you pick up a fruit / goodie, you get 20x the current level as points. Compatibility Lola-Lines is a 16k ROM, no pokey or anything special. Works on GameDrive7800 (Disable Break to avoid slowdowns). Should work on Dragonfly & Concerto + all the usual emulator options. To-Do Refinements to timing, right now you can be stuck in an unfair position with no way out so timers needs a tweak or 2 10 levels then it goes back to cherries, maybe ill add more and the appropriate bonuses.   11. It's been a while since we had a Bernie update... There was a bug in the Bernie code that meant that the game would crash in specific circumstances. That bug is fixed and the game is now very stable. I had a few folks message me about Bernie - Bernie is not abandoned, he just took a back seat while A.R.T.I. was finished and while I worked on Wilf for a bit. Both Bernie and Wilf are active projects and new demos will be coming soon. You can get the updated demo here It should work with the usual suspects (A7800, Dragonfly, 7800GD, JS7800). It may also work on the 2600+. On other platforms, your mileage may vary. On 7800GD be sure to disable <BREAK> functionality. Having <BREAK> enabled can cause issues with this game.
