There's something strangely appealing about this game. It has its faults such as repetition of dialog and not really being able to interact with your Miis but it's still fun to play. I like that you can change the lyrics to the songs that you can get, there's a lot of different clothes and interiors for their apartment and it's fun trying to find out which is their favorite (or least favorite!) food. It would have been nice if they allowed same sex dating but you can sort of work around that by making one of your Miis look like the opposite gender. I like that you can actually change what your Mii looks like in the game. You can even change their personality. I'm glad this game is doing well. This series has a lot of promise. I'm hoping the sequel (which I'm sure will happen) will have more interaction, less repetition, better mini games and same sex dating.

I'm a Nintendo fan and will continue to be one. But even this fan knows that Nintendo needs some improvement. For one thing, the WII U has been out for about 14 months and I still am wondering if I should get it. I want some better software for the system before deciding to get one. When a console that's been out for so long keeps a person wondering if he/she should buy one that is a sign that Nintendo needs to do something quickly to remedy this problem. I'd kind of want to see Iwata step down. I've not been that impressed with him overall. New blood is what this company really needs. I don't want Nintendo to start copying Sony and Microsoft but something needs to change. I'm hoping that this shakeup that is supposed to happen will be a positive one. They never should have released the Wii U in 2012 and they never should have called it by that name. They need to improve their online store and online in general. I agree that all of their games should be available online to buy, from the NES right through today's games - including third party games (even though I know it would cost them a lot of money to get the rights to have them all online). I love Nintendo and feel that they will survive but they need to stop sticking their head in the sand and start looking toward the future of gaming.

I can't wait to read this! I helped fund this project, the first time I ever funded anything at Kickstarter. I loved Nintendo Power and I miss reading that. It will be nice to read another gaming magazine. Hopefully this magazine will be a huge success!

I like that they keep adding new tables every month. Most of the tables are pretty good too. I like the latest ones "Flight 2000" and Goin' Nuts", though I'm not a fan of the constant sound that the latter makes. Still, it's cool to play a table that wasn't even available to the general public and only 10 machines were ever made. I'd like to see more solid state tables added from the 1970's, the ones that were not made around a movie or famous star. I would imagine it would be easier to get licensing rights to those tables.

I'm looking forward to this game coming out. I have to say, though, that the footage I have seen I was not too impressed. It looked a bit amateurish - almost like a downloadable game that costs a few dollars. I'm hoping that when it does come out it will look good. It will be some time before the game comes out so I'm assuming that the graphics will be improved from what we have seen. At least, I hope so!

I'm toying with the idea of getting one, though I was considering getting the 276-1 one, which has mostly the same games as the 60-1 and many more. I find the 276-1 listing of games to be a bit strange though. It includes Pleiades but not Phoenix, Space Invaders Deluxe but not the first Space Invaders and a few other sequels but not the first ones. But all the ones that I have seen cost at least $600-$700 or more. I'd like to think there is something cheaper - especially since I'm interested in a Barcade cabinet. I don't want to buy a used cabinet. Hopefully I'll get lucky and find something in a price that interests me.

The latest update on the iOS is awful. It won't let me purchase any of the new tables because it says I need to be connected to the Internet. I checked the reviews of this app on the iTunes app store and many people are complaining about this. Does anybody actually test their apps any more? I'm convinced no one tested this latest update. Also, why are we forced to have to download tables again after we already paid them after every app update? It is so annoying. Even Atari's Greatest Hits fixed this problem. There should be a way to fix this. Sadly, this app has gone downhill.

I'm looking forward to seeing what tables will be added in the future. The problem with most of the modern tables from the 1980's onward is that they are "trademarked" games, such as games featured from movies, TV shows, famous people, etc. So getting those tables will probably require making deals with the people responsible for the tables originally coming out. But maybe they can get tables such as Diner from Williams or some of the tables from the 1970's.

Yes, Retro Gamer is expensive here in the United States if you get the actual magazine subscription. But if you have a smartphone like the iPhone you can subscribe for a cheaper price. Back issues in the iTunes store are $4.99 for each older magazine. I just started reading it and it is a very good magazine. Keep in mind if you get it that it does mention games and systems that were not sold in the United States but there's enough content that features stuff that did sell here.

This app update is for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. There doesn't appear to be a lag on my app. But I do prefer the version prior to the update. Sometimes these "improvements" to apps are not much of an improvement.

Today the app got an update but no new tables yet. I actually don't like the new update. The ball looks larger on the Theatre of Magic table than it did on the previous version. The sounds also seem a bit off. It's still a very good app but the update is a disappointment. I can understand that they are having problems adding new tables every month. That said, they should not promise new tables every month unless they know they will be able to. Maybe in April some new ones will finally arrive.

It's been a few months since the app on the iPhone/iPad has been out and there have been no new tables added, despite their promise of new tables being added each month. I like the four tables but would love to see more added. I wonder why there has been a delay of new tables?

Apparantly the person responsible for making this news story hated the ET game. Some people probably watched this thinking it was that game that caused the virus! Also, some of the computers they showed looked like they were used in the 1970's. People at MIT were still using ancient computers in 1988? Also, the report made it sound like it was an international crisis. Truth of the matter is that most people did not have modems for their computers (and many people didn't even have a computer) until the World Wide Web was readilly available in the mid 1990's. Still, it was an interesting news report to look at.

The other day I bought this for my iPod Touch. I don't have an iPad and figured it would not work as well on the iPod Touch. That being said, it works fine. I like the tables. I hope they keep their promise on new tables being added every month. I also hope they come out with some tables that have not been featured in previous collections. Licensed titles would be nice. There is promise with this app.

I had a feeling that there was nothing wrong with the Super Mario RPG game and that it just will not work with the SupaBoy. The frustrating part is that had I known this game was known to not work for this system I never would have ordered it. I guess I should hold on to the game though, in case I ever do get my SNES set back up. My SupaBoy does not make any awful sounds. The one I bought was after it returned back on the market. I tried ordering it from Amazon.com a month or so ago and my order was cancelled because of shipping problems. However, it did return to Amazon.com, which is where I bought it. So far it seems to be working fine. I don't like where they put the AC jack plug right next to where you put the cartridge. Also, the AC plug does not seem to stay in as well as it could. Also, the screen didn't look very new to me, making me believe it was a used product. But it works fine and the other games I tried out seem to work well. Honestly, I didn't epect it work as well as the SNES system but it is a good handheld system.
