  1. I SOLVED IT, and it somewhat makes sense. So when you want to reconnect with Windows 10, you have to press the same button combo that you used to setup the initial pairing with. For example: X-Input mode = X+Power button Direct Input = Power Button Reconnect with 100% Success, literally just discovered it and tested both methods 10x in a row to prove legitimacy: X-input = X+Power button for 1 second* Direct Input= Power button for 1 second, then press connect (the button to the right of the power on the bottom of the FC/NES30 Pros)** *NOTE: You can't press X+Power if you don't have your controller setup in that manner) **This works for Firmware 4.01, don't know about earlier versions, I would assume the first method would work just swap out the "X+Power" for whatever button combo you used to pair your device to your PC. It should work for the older firmware versions too. What I did was with the two I have (FC30Pro and NES30Pro) is that I created 4 pairing profiles (2 each), one for X-Input for steam and Microsoft official games, and another for emulators that don't either recognise X-Input or don't need it. So my thinking is that when you power on the device just using the power button, it goes into "searching mode" and as such doesn't know what to search for. So by pressing "X+Power" you tell the controller to search for an X-Input profile and when it finds it, it connects then. Though I wish, their site would tell you that, since according to their manual it says and I quote: "Controllers will auto reconnect to your devices once they have been paired." <--YOU LIE 8Bitdo. To refresh people on how to pair an 8Bitdo Pro series controller in windows 10: 1) hit the windows key 2) start typing "Control" 3) "Control Panel" Should show up, click it to open it 4) Go down to "Hardware and Devices" and click the first option under it "View devices and printers" (since going through settings and that way almost always fails for me, especially in windows 8/10.) 5) Devices and Printers should open up in a new window, put that aside for a second and grab your controller 5a) Direct Input mode (works for newest and older firmwares) Press power button for 1 second to turn it on, then hold down the connect button (next to it on the right) for 3 seconds to go into pairing mode -or- 5b) X-Input Mode (Definitely FW 4.0.1, don't know about older versoins, I don't think they supported it. If I remember correctly the four options were: Android on the "Y", I-Cade on the "B", Keyboard on the "A", then Android Touch Emulation on the "Y". Again going from memory.): X+Power (at the same time) for 1 second, then connect for 3 seconds 6) Back into the "Devices and Printer" click"Add a device" (near the top left of the window) 7) Wait for "game controller" or "8Bitdo...." click it ***!Jiggle the joystick just to prevent the controller timing out if the discovery is taking too long!*** 8) Click "Next" at the bottom right of that window, it should say connecting in the upper left of that window. 9) A new window should pop up with a progress bar showing the device connecting. Let it do its thing, but remember, jiggle the control stick on the controller to prevent it from going to sleep, since this process can take a long time, or at least longer than the usual 3 min wake time on the controller. Mine usually takes a minute at most, but I have a lot of ram, and a powerful laptop. 10) The window should close and kick you back to the "Devices and Printers" window unless you minimised or closed it, or removed focus from it. If not then in that window you should see 1 of 4 things depending on your controller model and pairing method you chose: a) 8Bitdo FC30 Pro(x) = Famicom Edition (red/burgundy and gold) in X-Input Mode (good for Steam Games and modern PC Games) b) 8Bitdo FC30 Pro = Famicom Edition (red/burgundy and gold) in Direct Input Mode (good for emulators, especially older standalone emulators like DGen, a lot of modern games don't support Direct Input Mode) c) 8Bitdo NES30 Pro(x) = NES Edition (gray and black) in X-Input Mode d) 8Bitdo NES30 Pro = NES Edition (gray and black) in Direct Input Mode Well, hope that helps. I was ironically looking online trying to find the answer myself. Then I saw this thread and created an account. Then 30 minutes later, I discovered the solution on my own.
