  1. About time people see the truth behind this. This is the same team from the original Gameband + Minecraft which si rotting in a lot of warehouses. Original company name was declared bankrupted and took money over to the FMTwhatever company... This is the same team from the Stormfly project, and same team that has been always with FMac (at least the same 4-5 people) who were always getting paid while anyone else they recruited got the boot or 30% salary on promises of a better future. After they drain the last drop of sweat they move on to the next target. These backers will never see a penny, hopefully they will get some sort of product in the end... But this guy is just trouble. "we are a San francisco and barcelona based company" - dude you have an apartment with investors money and travel to US every now and then... that´s not an established company. Eventually people will see through the bullcrap. Fun fact: go here and click on "support" http://www.nowcomputing.com/
  2. Those 3 companies are always backed by the same people and have the same core enployees. Yet it is legally hard to prove it so that their debts carry on. If I may ask, why is your signature containing a link to their last kickstarter? And how is that going? Launched in September? You know they had the design and everything already months before he kickstarter campaign ever started? They started working on it while leeching of the Minecraft product sales (and presales which then got stuck as sheikh stock at distributor's warehouses)
  3. Would be happy to see the project go through, even if it is a toaster Time will tell about the rest. I closed hat chapter years ago and have been moving forward ever since. This thread confirmed to me that Mr F has not moved an inch. My thoughts are that those who dwell in past glories will never see present failures. Much less anticipate future mistakes.
  4. Wish I could read people like this before. I've worked in sales in many organizations and if something holds true is that people learn to sell their own story. Watch more videos of his introduction and you will see the same pattern, word by word. Classic case of repeating same thing over and over until you buy your own story. Let's just say I have many unboxed products of his past ventures that I had to keep as money was not an option. I'm not sure what people like the historian are getting out of this but I have a clean conscience and I know the deal will always benefit one part only. He's been blessed in the sense that many people are willing to work with him no matter he failures, of course his closest circle goes from company to company jumping legal issues of hiring and/or paying taxes to government. Whenever they are in deep sh!t they declare bankruptcy, take whatever money and build a new entity. When employees or debt collectors (in talking big distributors and retail) try to collect money the response is always the same: "debts belong to the previous organization which has been declared bankrupt" Never ending story.
  5. Hi everyone, I read all the pages of this thread and really thought about moving on. But feel some justice is being done and would like to drop my 2c. I have followed Feargal for some time and all I can say is that some people here were wise enough to read through him. Wish I had that ability in the past. I fee for people like The Historian who are so mesmerized by him and his never ending promises. If you follow him through his ventures, stormfly to Gameband(Minecraft) to the "new" gameband to the Atari there was one constant thing going on, they were always using the promise of a new project to get money to sustain the current one. Seems like a Ponzi scheme now and eventually it will catch up. He is always doing the same, mentioning the big companies he worked for (apple lenovo etc) in the 80s! And then explaining (justifying) why he's now venturing into the start up world. He never raises money from European investors (he is based and lives in spain) because no one will lend to him. He has the same backers in the US and that's why all his companies (whatever name they use, gameband, now computing, ftwhatever) seem to be based in SF and Barcelona. His ventures somehow manage to raise hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) USD and I wonder how many people (besides his minions) benefit from it. How many of his workers are now jobless and salaries unpaid even after new companies are being built and new money is being raised. Unfulfilled promises seem to be the only constant surrounding this half-shaved black hole. I do hope Atari manages to recover and hopefully new products are launched.
