  1. That's extremely kind of you. I'll DM you to figure out details.
  2. I finally got out from under a deadline at work and started investigating mine. It's looking like mine is a goner -- comparing to a friend's working board, the MEGA II looks like it has an internal short. So I'm in the market for a new IIgs board if anyone happens to see a good deal on one. Sorry I couldn't give you any better news or anything else specific to look at. I got to where I was by looking for RAM activity and checking and tracing back from there until I, unfortunately, got back to the Apple II on a chip. I spent an hour checking resistance between pins on it until I found a short on mine that didn't exist on the working board. I desoldered it from the board and the short was still there. I'll see if I can find my scratch paper where I wrote down which pins it was but when I checked this morning it appears to have been moved/recycled.
  3. I have a iigs with a similar tale and end result. I'm finally at a point where I can get it on the workbench to look at. The power supply voltages look good and voltages at the major spots (CPU, Ram) look good. I'll let you know if I figure out what happened after some more checking with the scope. Hopefully it's not anything proprietary.
  4. The latest 1541 UII+/64 Ultimate firmware also has 1581 support - much quicker loading the .d81 version than the .d64.
  5. I always saw it documented with the mnemonic BRAH, also known as the "dude branch".
  6. Up until this I've been able to replicate every one of the issues you've encountered; no more, no less. The One on One fix works fine on my A1; If I remember correctly the only substantive hardware differences in my console are that it has (the usually more quirky) Oki RAM and no expansion port.
  7. I've been testing out my cart in my spare time and, unfortunately, have nothing new to add other than to say that my A1 console has exactly the same behaviors as DrVenkman. Minus the being able to at least get past the loading of TowerToppler and Realsports Baseball on a cold boot. Those get stuck before completely loading no matter how long the console has been off. It is, however, running my small programming project perfectly well.
  8. My wife was a real dear and intercepted the mail on Tuesday, so I got to unwrap it this morning! Got a POKEY installed and the firmware updated to 0.95 without issue. No problems reading an old class 4 16GB PNY SD card, and the memory test comes through clean. Great work on this fun piece of kit, and Merry Christmas to you all. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go play some Joust with the kids...
  9. Same thing here. Salem to Portland Metro via Tacoma, WA. I could have walked down and picked it up from Batari directly in less time. Here's hoping for Christmas Eve delivery!
  10. Count me in, too. Amazing stuff here.
  11. Hey, I resemble that remark! Not a reseller, though; just getting my feet wet in 7800 dev and not that active on the forum. That said, I've been looking forward to this for a long, long time and I'm greatly impressed by what folks in this community have achieved.
  12. Since A7800 is a MAME derivative, does it support input recording? Might be a way to replicate the screen transition issue unless it is extremely timing sensitive...
