there are absolutely no issues with the system, everything is so clean that (I'm not exaggerating) ever since I've cleaned it up I've literally never had to remove a cartridge and re-insert it because of a bad connection.
Do you think there are any alternatives? I don't think I'd be able to pull something like that off with my soldering skills, and I'm about to spend about $200 on modwork on this motherboard so I want to make sure it doesn't fail on me.
please look at the picture provided. there's no rust on the actual connector that games connect to (the black piece) there's rust on the pins of the motherboard where the connector connects to, (confusing right?)

As the title implies there is rust on my NES motherboard 72-pin connector.

Is this an issue? if so how do I treat it? I've already applied oil to it to prevent further rusting.
