I've been making/selling a modern Joypad-type controller for the Mattel Aquarius, which is quite unique since there has never been an alternative apart from the original handheld controller. I wish it was that simple. I switch between 130xe and 65xe power supplies but always the same.

The first test I did was without basic and I got green squares all the way on 3rd row. I tried with Basic and got green squares all the way to half of the 3rd row. Does that tell that memory OK?

Mem test doesn't show any red blocks and seems to play ATR games ok. Soon as I plug in a cartridge I get Red Screen of death... Cartridges work ok on my 65XE system... I looked around for dry solder joints. I read somewhere that mem test only checks the first 64K. Is this true? Any ideas..
