  1. YOOOO I Tried it last night. It worked a TREAT. I am so excited for this. The video helped a lot too. (Knowing which sound to use etc). I have a retron77 that I was using for a while but there is nothing... NOTHING like using the real hardware! Thanks again! \M/ \M/
  2. Thank you so much for posting this. I Bought the RF to HDMI box a WHILE back and didn't see the link for the pal connector. Been trying to figure out A) Where I found the box originally and B) What the heck the connector was. Just ordered it off ebay from your link and should be able to put my RF box to good use soon. THank you again!
  3. That kinda looks like an original joystick from looking edge on.. cool
  4. I have a Retron 5. Purchased because I thought it would be awesome to use my old carts. Knew nothing about the politics of it all. I love what I Does, and it does it lag free on my tv in game mode. (LG 65" something or other) . Atari graphics, at least the resolution, are many multiples of magnitude less than some of the games I played on the retron 5, so I don't see how it would be unable to play them correctly. The only weird thing might be that the 2600 games were programmed with a scanning beam in mind. They do however, play great via RF cable into the same tv from an original 7800 I received as a gift in 1987ish. No lag on that either.
  5. Ok all, I'm having trouble with a six switcher from Taiwan. The picture on it is Razor sharp, however I have barely any sound. There is an audible hum and there is no sound unless I crank the TV all the way up, then it's just soft, but not distorted I have an atari 7800 that I hook up the same way, using the same games, and it works, so I have been able to figure it is not the Cable, the tv or the connection from the RCA to the coaxial. Tried 7800 with 2600's cable, sound and picture were clear. (no problems) Tried a different cable on 2600, same issue. Issue still there after trying a/b channel switch. Tried a ferrite choke on the power ad av cord, no difference, sound still barely audible, picture very clear. I've read between this site and others that came up from a google search that the issue may be a bad cap. I took a picture of the cap and one end is sealed and looks ok. This end however, looks suspicious. This is on the small board that is NOT housed in the heavy metal surround and is on the top left near the on/off switch. (in pictures the switches are to the right of the blue cap) Do you think this cap may be the issue? It's on its own and looks pretty easy to de-solder and replace. I don't want to toss a unit that looks to otherwise be in perfect shape. Thanks for any help you may provide!!
  6. I finally got 20 across on freeway version 3, but the 40k points in spider fighter seem to be really hard to do! (I max out at 20k now)
  7. my manuals were put into those old mcdonalds kids lunchboxes about 20 years ago. If those boxes aren't acid free I'm guessing they're trashed now.. I should go check!
  8. If you need any help testing let me know. My harmony cart is coming in the mail tomorrow and I'm going to get the BIN when I get home. I'm looking forward to trying it out!
