  1. Well here is to hoping it does and if anyone would be kind enough to try it out and post what you find!
  2. Does Dungeon work in a moded FB2? All i have at the moment is a FB2 to play my games on and I would like to buy Dungeon. But i want to be sure that it works on a FB2. It would be nice in the store listings if a note could be made if the homebrews and/or reqular carts sold will work in a FB2. Thanks for any help with this! Andrew J
  3. Does Dungeon work on a Flashback 2? I would love to get but my FB2 is my only working 2600 right now.
  4. Will Cave In and I guess by default Superchip games work in a Flashback 2? Its my only machine right now and it does have the cart slot mod. Thanks for any info! I'm thinking about getting the game as it does look sweet!
  5. Say i am interested in your new game. A new RPG after all this time is pretty sweet. I ask this not to cause you any problems but just out of interest in my situation. I have a first gen Genesis with a replaced 68000 CPU to a 68010. It helps with slow down in many Sonic games and alot of standard games for the Genesis. It crashes with street fighter games and some of the Desert Strike games. Any idea if your coding done in your game will allow me to run it on my setup or would I need to play it on a stock system? If your intrested i could test a copy for you if you would like. Thanks for your work on a new game!
  6. Just a message out there again on this. Has anyone found the points on the FB2 where the sound can be found for the stereo mod? I know Curt mentioned it somewhere once but I'm not sure he let any one know. Anyone? Curt? Thanks again!
  7. I got a Genny 3 a few years ago just to whip out to play some Shadowrun now and again. The s-video mod is super easy and well worth the video quailty bump from composite. My A/V jack was ruined when i got it so i just mapped out the pins and added my own plugs on the back. In doing so i found mine did have stereo sound. The cable that came with it was mono but it was setup for stereo. I know that other people have some revisions that are only mono and you will have to build a amp. Here is the pinout if you are looking to find the stereo. Genesis A/V pinouts
  8. Use one cut from a old keypad or other controller. In a pinch a small piece of alumimn will work glued to a button too.
  9. There is another guy on ebay that is selling the LM1881n chip. His prices are good but his shipping is way high. If I remember right he will do a cheaper shipping fee if you chat with him. That is still way cheaper than the $15 for the other one. Like I said the Jrok cleaner cheap and it works if you don't want to solder the LM1881n up.
  10. Yeah it sucks for not having one ready to go but i have only seen them as chips. If some of you are interested I would put some together for people if there was enough interest. I have most of the parts but would need to order up some more of the LM1881 chips. Just would take a little time. PM me or let me know.
  11. The first run of the Genny 3 had stereo outs and they took it out of the later runs. It has a sony chip that tapped pretty easily for S-video out. Makes a cool little system. They have info for the pin outs at nfggames.com/wiki and here Eviltim.
  12. My box does have both and I wired it to do ether/or, both, or no sync. It will just pass though the standard sync signal as is if it doesn't need stabilization. Yeah its overkill but it works well for any option and I have just left it going from my first setup.
  13. All you have to do is tie the two jaguar syncs into one composite sync. The JROK boards do have the right sync format for standard rez RGB monitors that are found in arcades. The horizontal and vertical syncs are usually reserved for computer or high def monitors. The JROK board just replaces the the monitor and spits out a video output from the RGB and Sync to work with TV's. You usually can just need to strip the sync off of the composite video (yellow video jack) and you should be fine. I have never heard of tying the horizontal and vertical together and having it work without having some processing done to the signals. It might work but the LM1881n stripper takes like 3 bucks in parts to make and is easy to slap together. I would go that route as I did till I bought JROK's sync cleaner for some systems and arcade boards that didn't work with the first sync stripper. My box does have both and I wired it to do ether/or, both, or no sync. It will just pass though the standard sync signal as is if it doesn't need stabilization. Yeah its overkill but it works well for any option and i have just left it going from my first setup.
  14. Thanks! Also, just so people know, Sega Genesis RGB DOES have sync, but that's probably becuase, like the Jaguar, it came with RGB signal pins and doesn't have to be modded, just a proper cable made for it. Just a note on that. The Genesis does have sync but you need to make a custom cable for it. The db-8 din connector needed is not common as it is a "U" shaped pin setting. It is usually called a "audio din" db-8. There is more about it here. Here is my box. I used a old zip drive case just to get by till i finish my full sized case. It requires a +5 DC power supply and needs like 200MA of power to run. The Sync cleaner only takes a bit more so it can be small. The LM1881n sync cleaner only takes a bit more and uses +5DC too.
