  1. I guess more have popped up since the last time I checked. Sincere apologies. Not trying to rip anyone off here. Just unloading some of my better titles. I don't have a problem selling this for what it's going for. I have lowered the price in the description. Thank you very much for checking me on this.
  2. Hey guys. I just recently purchased a Centipede arcade machine and am going to be unloading a bit of my 2600 library starting with this one. RAMPAGE for the 2600. This one apparently isn't too hard to find nowadays and instead of just sitting on my shelf looking good, I figure one of you guys would be able to appreciate it more. I am asking $28, shipping included anywhere in the US. I can get this out today if anyone is interested. Feel absolutely free to shoot me a message or offer regarding this. Thanks everyone! EDIT: Lowered the price from 40 to 28 because I should have checked eBay first. My mistake.
  3. My first memory is of my father playing a game of Joust at the Santa Monica Pier. Must have been around 1987. It is because of this memory that I have always been into what people call "classic" arcade games. I just call them Arcade games. There is nothing classic about it to me since it is an everyday part of life. I remember back in the day arcades being the place to go. Skateland in Whittier California was one of my first spots I used to go to. It was def a punk rock type of vibe back then and I remember all of the arcades being grimey and a place for trouble in the 90's. In the 2000's the Nickel Nickel arcades started popping up which I eventually worked at in 2003 at the Whittier location. We used to close the store and put on our own secret "AFTER HOURS" that management def did not know about. We would turn the lights off and put every game we wanted to play on free play and invite all of our friends over. YES, the security cameras were turned off. This time in particular was one of the best times of my life and a very underappreciated time as we did not know how good we had it back then being able to basically have our own arcade at night that we didn't have to pay for. After the Nickel Nickel days arcades started to close down, the scene started dying, and now I only see mostly super arcades like Round 1, or Dave N Busters. I hate these places.... Even Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights closed down, which was the definitive spot for Japanese fighting game players in that area. The only spot that I know of that is still open is James Games in Upland California. The owner Rick is an extremely nice guy and has been there since the original owner James sold it to him decades ago. The new arcades are not like what it used to be. Give me a grimey old dark hallway with some old cabs and I'm good. Yes I am from California. I currently live in Las Vegas. The arcade scene was huge in California during the late 80's and 90's. Once the 2000's rolled around, they started to fall off the grid. I was def born in the wrong time (1985), but I finally have my own Centipede machine of my own after 33 years of waiting. If any of you are coming out to Vegas, hit me up, lets play some Centipede!
  4. I have been telling the tales of funspot to my spouse for quite some time. I think we are finally going to make plans to take a trip up there and live the dreams I constantly have of Brain Kuh telling me there is a potential Donkey Kong kill screen coming up. I also wouldn't mind meeting all the regulars and cooking them all breakfast.
  5. Oh how I love and miss arcades of the past. I live in Las Vegas about 5 mins from the strip and 10 mins from Downtown. I go to The Pinball Hall of Fame pretty much everyday and also am a regular at A Gamers Paradise. The Pinball Hall of Fame is a huge warehouse style arcade with 100's of Pinball machines, fully restored from the early days up to current. They also have a row of classic arcade games which is what I go there for. Many games of Dig Dug, Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, and Claw Machines have been abused by myself throughout the years. A Gamers Paradise is a retro video game shop with an arcade inside. They have everything from Atari 400 to current consoles and with a small museum inside with pretty much every retro console. The owner also builds, repairs, and sells arcade machines. I just bought his Centipede machine. There is also PSG (Press Start Gaming) located in the same lot which is a LAN/Console style Arcade which holds a lot of the major fighting game tournaments in Las Vegas. All 3 locations are in the same parking lot right next to each other. I know PSG works with A Gamers Paradise to put on tournaments, events, and special sales frequently. Last I heard the owner of the Pinball Hall of Fame wants nothing to do with PSG and A Gamers Paradise and are not on speaking terms. The Pinball Hall of Fame owner has appeared on Ricks Restorations and also Pawn Stars. You can see him walking through the arcade with the famous head-flashlight repairing something. If you are in Vegas and want to do some arcade gaming, these are the places to go.
  6. Wow this is awesome. I went ahead and purchased the 1976-1979 arcade encyclopedia. Hoping to find some good stuff in there! Thanks again!
