  1. Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is anywhere to find replacement chips (RIOT, 6507 and TIA equivalent) for the Expansion 1? I know the unit is easy to find, but if I can possibly repair mine I would love to do that. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! I might give AliExpress a shot. My Lynx II board has been sitting around collecting dust since I started this post.
  3. I've asked at Best Electronics before and he didn't have any. Did you get Suzy chips from him recently?
  4. Thank you for breaking down the issues. I never repaired my board since I started this topic, but if my issue is also a bad Suzy chip, do you know where they are available for purchase?
  5. Unfortunately I can't give any more info. Your issue sounds just like mine, but I'm not sure what else to do, sorry!
  6. Good luck! Hope it works out for you. Let us know what happens.
  7. I asked Brad at Best Electronics and I also asked over at Console5 for their advice and both said the same thing. I'm not savvy when it comes to comparing chips, but I believe the specs are the same. My Lynx will still turn on with the new chips, but I have the same issue as before the chips.
  8. I used M5M4464AP-10 DIP18. Unfortunately for me, this didn't fix the problem for me. I believe my issue is with either Mikey or Suzie. Not sure which, and I've given up since finding the chips is too difficult without getting a working PCB.
  9. One chip on the Lynx II is easier to take off than the other. One chip has pins under the cartridge slot, so I'm probably going to snip those with flush cutters.
  10. Thanks! I ordered a couple of 4464 chips from China today. I heard from Best Electronics that those are compatible. It came out to $9 US. I'll give it a shot. Thanks so much!
  11. Is there a way to check the RAM with a logic probe or voltmeter to see if they are the problem. I didn't feel either RAM chip get hot. I know they can still have issues, but if I can rule out that one or both are not working, that would be best.
  12. Was your issue similar to my issue? Thanks!
  13. Is the RAM the same in a Lynx I and Lynx II? I need for a Lynx II.
  14. Thanks! Just to make sure, that's a replacement for HY53C464LS-10?
