I will gladly go over the document and proofread it, check spelling/grammar but I do not have a sub cart. Shouldn't matter for most of the proofing though.

I guess they haven't found a way to monetize or, blister you with ads for Skematiks, or there isn't enough garbage auto-generated AI content on the subject yet.

Who here thinks the Atari 400 mini was a good idea ?
Stephen replied to JPF997's topic in THE400 Mini
The thing is so small, I'm not even sure 4 DB-9 ports would physically fit. -
On all of my 400/800 machines, I solder in a tiny jumper across the bottom of the power PCB which makes the switch act always closed. This can easily be removed with zero damage to the machine. The only problem is, it requires a full disassembly of the machine.

I will say one thing - every time I go to VCFMW festival, the GUI gets major "holy shits". I'm going again this year, and will definitely have it on display.

The Recharged games are gonna be ported to Arcades!

That's impressive! -
Just happened to come across this by mistake, and it remembered it had been asked for. I have a folder with Amy info, containing 428 files (112MB). 1090_AMY_Card17APR84.pdf

I've had an issue before with one of my U1MBs where the firmware could not be flashed. The device was 100% fine in every other way. Even using my TL-866, I could read the entire flash, but could not erase it or save to it. It's really sounding like this is the issue here. A new flash chip resolved my issue.

I will say one thing about the whole open source vs closed source thing. I've been guilty in the past, on several occasions of asking for source, or at least wishing it was available. BUT - let's use the Jaguar as an example. Source code for at least 9 of the commercially released games has been available since (conveniently enough) 14 years. Guess what has come from it? Precisely (and this is a highly technical term) fuck all. Not a single update to any of the games has been published. Not a single project using any of the said source has come out. John's point of making the source usable to other people taking as long as him re-doing it is 100% valid. Many times in my job, it is simply easier to restart and just do it myself rather than taking existing code and fixing it up. It's either too messy, too inefficient, not able to be understood, etc.

Still waiting too, but sounds like it should be getting close. My order was June 22.

My POKEY experiments using nonstandard settings

Interesting sounds, but the high pitch noise and clicking/popping pretty much make it unusable. -
The better question is what advantage of having both was there at all? It was a stupid move all around. The 400 was intended to be, and should have been, the "gaming" system, while the 800 was the "serious computing" system. Releasing the 5200 at all made zero sense.
