  1. I use ACP.xex to setup my displays, as it has nicely defined corners on the display.
  2. Already have that part figured out - I will pinch toothpicks between my thumb and finger, and "hunt & peck" with just the two!
  3. We need this in miniature so it can fit inside the new Mini 400!
  4. I just run the standard 1.26 Fx core, since the machine with my VBXE also has U1MB RAM expansion. I do run the latest version of SDX and by default, my machine boots with BASIC off.
  5. It's been so long since I made that cable for my 1084, I do not remember. I think it was csync but I would have to double check. I use a different solution for my Sony PVMs, and I can say with certainty on those, I have to set the monitor to "sync on green".
  6. It's the 6-pin, that says "lin RGB". I believe that is analog. Here's the cable I made: That s-video jack is also a mod of mine. It made using standard cables of the day easier.
  7. No - the only output the VBXE provides is RGB. I have used mine with a 1084S monitor, and 2 Sony PVMs. Output is fantastic on all 3.
  8. Oh wow - I did not know this. I had my 400 since 1982, but was never aware of that particular stick.
  9. While going through some old folders (and trying to fix an annoying issue with Rasta GUI), I came across a beta 7 ZIP, which had extended feature support (and were labelled as "fast builds"). Do you know if these changes have been merged in? The files in questions were titled "RastaConverterBeta7.icl17.SSE2.exe", and "RastaConverterBeta7.icl17.AVX512.exe". I do not have the source, only the exes.
  10. It advertises rewind functionality, so it's pretty much a guarantee to be Retro Arch.
  11. Sorry - that looks gross. It's like a grey ST controller that turned terribly yellow and is in dire need of some peroxide and UV.
  12. No need to apologize, everybody has different tastes in most things, else the world would be a boring place. May I ask though - when did you become aware of Minter or Llamasoft? You can in no way compare what he was doing from 1978 through 1990, with his modern stuff running on powerful systems. I would say that Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar was definitely a pivotal point for him in his overall style. For me, I knew of him since probably 1985, but I missed his Vic-20, C64 stuff and much of the 16-bit era so this look back was a great experience for me. That being said, I bought it for the historical footage. There's not a game on the compilation I would actually sit and play with the exception of the newer Gridrunner.
  13. As much as I despise litigious people and companies, in this case State Farm can fuck off and die as a company. Bastards - we had them for multiple insurance (auto, car, etc.) for almost 20 years. Because my parent's made the mistake of getting robbed and their house cleaned out of TVs, computers, and their jewelry, State Farm cancelled them because they made a claim. Didn't pay to replace shit either. I bought them a new TV and laptop so the living room wasn't empty. I consider this Karma except it won't affect them one iota, certainly not the kick in the teeth my folks got while being down.
  14. Do tell... Grab the emulator from here - https://www.richwhitehouse.com/jaguar/ Create a bat file with the following content - BigPEmu.exe *VirtualDisc_SystemAudio -audiocapindex 5 The * tells the emulator to not launch a ROM and also prevents the splash screen from displaying. The 5 will be different on each system. To find the appropriate number, in the emulator go into System, choose Mount Images, Virtual Discs, System Audio Disc. Pick the audio device that your audio plays through (the count starts at 1). Now just use that bat file to launch the emulator. With audio playing on the PC, run the VLM as normal. Hit B which is the Play button for VLM.
