  2. Nothing like I ever saw, where are you located? I have 2 pac man coctail tables, we could through it in and see if she fires up
  3. Well got the board working that came with it.. but did two things at same time to fix it, not sure if it was the burn edge connecter or bad ms pac daughter card, had a spare ms pac daughter card so used it.. and it fired up fine. so no money put into it, a little time. I do see why people don't like the lcd screens, they dont look anywhere near as good as the crt tv monitors.
  4. Well found out it flickered on and off when I grabbed the wire harness connector that connects to the edge connection on the board.. thought forsure that meant the problem would be the actual connector itself, but decided to try my pac man good board, layed it on top of the opened game and connected the harness connector to that board, holding the top and fired it up and everything was good. Wiggled the harness and still all good. Leads me to believe the board edge connector is where the fault lives. Heard they can get burnt over time.. not sure what burnt means. The person who installed the vision pro flat monitor did not get it centered, will have to try to fix that, the top/bottom is ok but the right side is not all showing, wonder if that can be adjusted in the monitor settings to roll it left like a pc monitor is adjusted
  5. A bit confused about your tshooting, the first post says you replaced all 6 rams 4k to 4r, than your last post says you did it again and it worked. Are those the same rams?
  6. https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/for/6762916391.html Was asking 250, got it for 150, looks good shape.. not sure about that flat monitor.. have some chip swapping to do see if I can make her wake up..
  7. The whole thing is huge, it's awkward to handle, it's not a small cocktail table like the original cocktails, it's is more like half the size of a dining room table, compare the pictures I posted. I don't understand why they would make it that big, the 25th anniversary was back to the normal size as the original, although it looked cheapened up like plastic instead of wood.
  8. Worked, got the 20th anniversary board and tv into the the original Pac Man cocktail.. now have to find a buyer for the 20th anniversary cocktail with just ms Pac man in it.. wonder if I can get $500 for it
  9. Just picked up a class of 1981 cocktail off cl for 500 bucks... wait, I just bought one.. tried picking it up and it is way tooooo heavy, couldn't get it out of the truck by myself, getting the engine hoist out to to it today, but hence the reason for this post, the thing is too big, I can pick an original cocktail up and move it, but not this thing. I would like to swap monitor and cards and harness from class of 81 into the original pac man cocktail. Not sure yet how the control panel swap will work, it looks bigger than the original panel.. but I think I can make the swap work The monitor is crystal clear and looks great much better than the original pac man monitor, not sure if it is the same size will find out more today. Have to break into my game, just saw this going to try it also
  10. Yes drill supposed to work well, some tape magnets to the bit but might work without magnets, not sure Link below talks about it, on a side note I would like to be able to post on that forum for my pac man questions but I don't know anyone there to give me the magic approval to post, if someone could help me with that I would be grateful. https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=208894 I am going to drill my pac man monitor today and will post pics of the difference. Now if I can get the distortion gone I would be happy
  11. Picked up this Pac Man cocktail and hoping this monitor can be fixed. i have another game and its not distorded at all. I have tried adjusting all the pots and it doesnt have any effect on the distortion Thanks
  12. How do you respect a perfect game of pac man when you had to use a cheat chip to attain it. No one in the world could get a perfect game of pac man without the later version of the game that allowed starting where you left off after your last pac man got killed. That's why old BM didn't do it in the early 1980s or until the late '90s after the cheat chip game was introduced, if it could have been done without it it would have been done in the early '80s, not 1999. I played in the early 80s and got the kill screen in '82 when I was 14 years old with a score of 3,147,310 which is not a perfect game, or even as high as others got at the time by eating more blue monsters in the early frames. The only way to get the so called perfect game is to learn patterns for eating every blue monster that could be done without the cheat chip, take a long time but could be done, but no way in hell someone could master that kill screen learning how to get the fruit and all dots without the cheat chip, you would have to play the game for 4 hours getting to the kill screen many many times learning how to eat all the dots and get all the points. I beat the game getting to the kill screen and I know what it's like to sit at the game for 4 plus hours doing the same pattern to get to the kill screen, I have only did it once and will never do it again, no one could do that as many times as you would have to in order to learn the way to clear that half screen kill maze, the only way they learned that is by the cheat chip either frame advancing to the 240th key or getting there after playing 4 plus hours and using the later cheat chip allowing you to start where you left off several times to master that screen. This perfect pac man score is only perfect because they used skills from a cheater. I am not saying I am the the best, many people scored better than my high score before the cheat chip was invented, but we did it without cheating.
  13. Googled Degaussing and found some makeshift ways, looking for advice here, color is fine if I open the cocktail and tilt it back about 20 to 30 degrees, but when I lower back to level and closed the bottom right corner starts turning red. Thanks
