Hello guys, Accept my apologies for delay. For last several weeks things got more and more strange for me and my fellow citizens. Covid caused real damage in our lives, including mine - as I mentioned earlier. It seemed things are turning better but then, suddenly out of nowhere (or as it found out - of hell) this little bastard came out! Putler made I am deeply afraid of my future and of the world in general. I am from Poland. My grandparents survived WWII, they told me frightening stories. My country was suffering yet many years after the war - communism is not funny thing at all. I was raised when Poland was still under USSR influence. What is hapening now is unbelievable! People in Ukraine are dying, their homes, cities are being destroyed, their culture is turning into ashes (museums, art, theaters, universities etc). I can't imagine what they suffer, what do they feel. It is ordinary european country. That day they planned to go to work, bring kids to school, go to the cinema. Live that day like many days before. Gee.. I can't find words... I just wanna scream. This dickhead warns us with nuclear weapon now. It's sick. I live ca 100km (60 miles) from highly militarized russian area with nuclear missiles. My family lives 280km (180 miles) from nearest attacked cities in Ukraine (russian ISKANDER missile capable of carrying nuclear weapon can reach that distance without any troubles). The bomb cities with weaponry banned in many countries and convention (Convention on Cluster Munitions and Geneva Convention - thermobaric weapon) What the fuck is going on - it's 21st century in Europe! Less than 80 years after WWII! Let the people of good will do something. I have kids, family. I don't want anyone to suffer WWIII. What is happening?! Stay safe. Support Ukrainians. Stop this madness. PS. I guess many of you might be unaware - bad things started weeks and monts before the UA-RU war started. Russia had some military 'excersisies' with Belarus since the end of 2021. We were suspicios and stressed. Unfortunately we were right... PS2. I am aware it is not atari-related post but I needed to share my opinion and concerns.

mclaneinc: Thank you. Yes, it was mainly covid. Two of them to be exact. Plus nasty pneumonia. I'm not in perfect health so far but things are getting better I believe. Unfortunately all that caused permanently lower income but that's different story.

Hi folks. Yes, I know I've been away for a while... Unfortunately just at Christmas Eve I've felt bad again what ended up with celebrating New Year's Eve in my bed… It happened that I've been sick much more severe than all three doctors thougt. Anyway, starting from flu I ended on pneumonia with some pretty nasty side effects. But I am getting better and better. I am going to push all things and jobs forward. To all of who contacted me - please contact me once again with updated info. Time to do some Atari stuff... PS. Despite it might looks strange, I've really been pretty sick - almost month in bed with ZERO vitality - just taking medicines, getting injections and sleeping..

For obvious reasons rsync is recommended, not ftp/http copy (to have file synchronized not copied). Moreover ftp mirroring lacks of few additional data like symlinks, which are quite common in our archive. So... my point is - please contact me via email. Hello, I'm one of the admins of pigwa. I'll try to answer all your questions. - multiple concurrent connections well, we have limited bandwidth capability and due to some greedy activities, we had to a) limit the concurrent sessions to 2 (to let users download on one session and browse directories on another one), b) limit download speed (varies depending on many things) - upload rights anyone can upload files to pigwa. period. not everyone is able to download uploaded file. why? well, we were under attack of some warez-transit bots, that's why we let you upload stuff without right to delete, rename, append or download… in case you want to upload something interesting, do it and let know any of admins - your files will be moved to the proper place (if voy doesn't answer let me know and vice versa) - one time donation sure you can, just contact voy, he'll give you his paypal account (not given public to avoid spam) Now, let me add few things. PIGWA net is not only just ftp archive (btw: you can access it's file with http protocol: http://ftp.pigwa.net/). We do quite a lot... A brief list of our 'activities' is available on patreon post. Up till now we tried to push things on our own - I pay for the internet link and electric power by myself, not mentioning bying the hardware (server, disks…) but the problem is we had some serious hardware failures this year (power supply - twice!, mainboard, RAID controller, few disks) and we have to buy new server and other stuff (like UPS+batteries)… We would be more than happy if you could help us and participate in our expenses. You might wonder why the hell we have our own server instead of hosting somewhere else. Well, there are many reasons, believe me (one of them is (are) mails from Atari, Inc. attorneys - yeah, it's a long story) Why we ask you for help? Well - as I wrote above - to buy new hardware. But that's not the only thing - we'd like to have better internet throughput to serve files in better way. No more per user bandwidth limitations, no more concurrent session limitations, faster browsing and downloading in general. We would like to improve our hosting capabilities. But this time without your help it won't be possible since we are broke for the moment...
