  1. Hmm... I know you had some of the Atari carts on the third Win 95 Activision pack. That's what I'd like to see on a volume 2 (in addition to all the stuff everyone else has mentioned.) I was kind of dissapointed over the lack of high score saves, but it seems like everyone else is mentioning this as well. That, I'm sure, will be in Volume 2, right? I still think, if done properly, an Intelivision pack could be good. I was pretty dissapointed by the first one, but perhaps the technology is better now and that could be done well this time. And, as already mentioned, interviewers with the programmers. That's about the only reason I've held onto the INTV pack for PSX. The interviews were great! Still, great work on this one. I think this is going to be the yardstick against which all future retro comps will be judged, and that's a good thing.
  2. I'm going to have to keep this little fact in mind for the time when I have a room big enough to make it a "classic gaming" room. This equipment might go well with the 5200 in a room. I agree about the beauty of the 5200. I like the way the sega genesis looks too, more than nintendo or super nintendo, or even playstation. Word of caution about Bang and Olfusen, all their equipment uses their own pulgs rather than standard RCA jacks. Plus, it might get pricey. However, it would look very cool with a 5200!
  3. If you want test market insanity, come to Indianapolis. We get everything! I was always convinced as a kid that there had to be SOMETHING in Megaforce if you went the wrong way (left instead of right.) I'd fly around until I ran out of fuel and died and never found a thing. I don't know how many times I tried, but never got anywhere. And the extra level in DK, I remember that one too.
  4. <edit>Sorry, I'm smoking crack. These aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along.
  5. bangles66, click the link in david's signature. His Pong-story web site is excellent!
  6. Are there any problems playing this on a 4 port? Just curious, because I thought I heard someone say a while ago that this proto doesn't work on anything but a 2 port.
  7. Hey, I'm one of those Digital Press a**holes too, I guess Really, Atarijoe, I don't have any idea what in the hell you are talking about as far as Atari fans being talked down to at DP. I've been there for a long time and haven't seen anything remotely like that happening. Sounds to me like you have something against a few specific people associated with the DP guide (why? Your arguements sound a little jealous to me.) and have written off the whole shebang. Touble makers of the Atari community? This is a hobby, not a relegion. Try getting out more often.
  8. http://www.primenet.com/~im14u2c/intv/doom/ Is this the watered down version of Doom on Intelivision you're refering to? If so, I think you better download the ROM and check it out.
  9. What's the level for a Super Mario/Duck Hunt? That's all I got in my trade stack right now. If you need, oh say, 20 of those let me know Seriously, I think this level thing is a good way to do a trade. And if you do for some reason want some SMB/DH or any of the various versions of those games, let me know.
  10. Let me also say, as a n00b to the 5200, thanks for the info. Very helpful, I've printed it out for future refrence.
  11. Yeah, I tried their little game but I got stuck on the last question because there's no way I or anyone I know would pay $5-$10 for a Pac-Man!
  12. Your image is broken, but I assume we're talking a 4 port box. If so, let's talk, here's my list: http://portfolio.iu.edu/rguernse/trade_list.txt
  13. That's the one I read. Glad you had it up. Very useful! Yeah, crackers. Got my fingers mixed up. That's what I meant
  14. Thank you for pointing me to the ANALOG article as well. Very helpful!
  15. Excellent point! I doubt the compant could have even launched the VCS had it not been for a large infusion of cash from a huge company like Warner. I don't think the selling of Atari was the problem, I just think when Nolan left, there wasn't anyone in power who remembered that innovation was what made them successful in the first place. Besides, my childhood would have been a lot less happy without a 400 to play Pac Man and Star Raiders on.
