Wanted to thank you all for your generosity

Tue Mar 26, 2019 2:10 PM

I only came on here, initially, to get help with an unknown issue with my boyfriend's old TI. I never, ever expected the kind of generosity and graciousness I'd find here. People like FarmerPotato, FDOS and Ricky Dean have made us feel very welcome into the community, with their offers of help, and sometimes it does feel like we're taking advantage of that generosity, but we appreciate it, nonetheless. We're now committed to getting this TI working, for you guys, so all your hard work and sacrifices to help us won't be in vain. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you.

Terrible Old TI-99/4A Games You Probably Never Heard Of

Mon Mar 25, 2019 1:43 PM

As a fan of Ashens, I've been kinda interested in his Terrible Old Games You Probably Never Heard Of series, where he describes the worst of the worst of 8- and 16-bit computers from 1980 to 1995 (no consoles like the NES or Sega Genesis or that, not even games like E.T. for the Atari 2600). He recently got a TI-99/4A, and I'm kinda curious if there's any truly terrible games on it that were commercially available that he could add to his list. Anyone want to take a crack at this?

Is there a way to convert TI files to a format that can be saved 2 cassette

Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:39 PM

We're still trying to get our TI working, but now that we have a better idea of what to do with it, and what parts to look for, we're looking into getting some of the files we found online saved to a format that can be read onto cassettes for the datacorder we got. Is there a way to do so, and if so, what files can be converted? http://tigameshelf.net/has a few games we want to try (like Ms. Pac-Man, Marble Madness, and Pitfall), but they no longer have datacorder files for them on there.

What other fan-created games can we get for the unmodified TI?

After seeing both Super Mario TI Bros and Dragon's Lair working on it, and not being able to get either, I'm wondering if there's any other fan-made games that are just as or almost as technologically advanced as them available for the TI that can be gotten easily and be used on an unmodified TI. Anyone know of any? Thanks.

Peter Cottontail's Egg Hunt

Does anyone have, or remember, the game Peter Cottontail's Egg Hunt for the TI-99/4A? That seems to be my boyfriend's favorite game, since he talks a lot about it in regard to the computer.
