  1. Awesome! I'll be on the lookout for the new mod! Thanks!
  2. Hey Bill... quick question if you don't mind. I hooked up the XEGS via a standard composite cable through a Framemeister and I'm getting vertical lines... kinda like double lines almost. Would the shielded RG59 coax cable help remove these? I get the same vertical lines when I hook up my 130XE computer via the same composite cables, but they go away when I switch to S-Video.
  3. Thanks ApolloBoy! So you can use the monitor jack with a standard composite (yellow) cable? The audio would go through the audio jack I assume, but be mono? If I got that right, then that's the answer I was looking for.
  4. Hey all, Sorry to bring up another old topic, I am a bit confused on a couple things regarding hooking up the XEGS.. First, does anyone offer the XEGS S-Video mod as a service? In the past, I sent out my 2600 and 7800 for S-Video mods (with excellent results), but I haven't seen anyone offering to do an XEGS S-Video mod. Just wondering... I would love to send out my XEGS to be modded. Also, how do you use the monitor output on the XEGS? Is there a dedicated monitor cable? I see there are some S-Video adapter cables out there for Atari/Commodore computers that are for monitors. I am assuming they wouldn't work on the XEGS, but I thought I'd ask. I'd like to try and bypass the VCR method when hooking the XEGS up to an upscaler. Thanks!
  5. Thanks metarog! I appreciate the information! I don't have the system in hand yet (it's in the mail as we speak), but the picture I have of it has the model number as BC7600 GT02. It looks like it doesn't say Magnavox above the power button either. Interesting that the later ones omitted the Magnavox name altogether.
  6. Hello all, Sorry to resurrect an older thread. New O2 collector here and I have a question about model differences. I purchased what I think is a later O2 model with the attached joysticks. However, the model I purchased has the Odyssey 2 logo on (what seems to be) a plate on the upper left of the console... most of the ones I see online seem to have the logo screen printed directly on the console. Also, the box doesn't seem to say Magnavox anywhere. Could someone explain the lineage of this model? Is it the last model released? Released for a different market? Just curious. Thanks!
  7. So it looks like it was the S-Video cable. I purchased another one and now the vertical lines are gone. However, it looks like I am getting a little interference of some sort.
  8. I have a 130XE hooked up through the Framemeister with S-Video cable and I am getting vertical lines across the entire screen. Is this normal? When I turn on scan lines on the Framemeister, then I get a cross-hatch pattern. Is there an S-Video mod for the 130XE that I am not aware of or could it just be an issue with the cable I bought? I do not get any vertical lines hooking up to the Framemeister through RF via a VCR. I will say that the clarity of the image is like night and day with S-Video over normal RF. Very nice. Just wish those vertical lines would go away.
  9. I received my modded NES back from Yurkie and it is AMAZING!!! His mod work is top notch... so perfectly clean that the new multi-port looks like it was factory installed! And the picture is terrific! His customer service is amazing as well and I had my NES back in about a week. I would definitely recommend Yurkie in a heartbeat for your NESRGB mod install! Thank you Yurkie!
