Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and - to be frank - new to the Atari 2600. Well new to dev on the Atari 2600... I first came across one at a friend's house in 1982! As someone who used to write Commodore 64 games in the 80s semi-professionally, I found myself deciding to write my first Atari 2600 game over xmas for fun. Given I'm a java developer by trade, I have written a small Java development tool that allows you to write 6502 as java functions. You can then run your program, it gets compiled and starts up a javatari emulator locally with your cartridge. The dev cycle is exceptionally quick, just a few seconds from coding to running.
