  1. Well, I managed to find a little time over the weekend to make a label. It's in the mail Al It was good to blow the dust off the ol' Wacom tablet.
  2. Happy birthday!

  3. Happy birthday! I missed it last year, dammit!

  4. Hopefully I get a chance to finish up my entry before time's up.
  5. Just wanted to say happy birthday! It seems as though we have that in common. Have a good one!

  6. I would like #133 please, or #33 if it becomes available. If neither of those, then the highest number not already taken.
  7. The printing company Al's using has been in business in the same area since around '86.
  8. My parents bought our VCS for one reason... Donkey Kong. The local greasy spoon had the arcade cab, and my bother and sister loved to go through the quarters. So my mom ordered the system and game from a catalog for Christmas. The system came, but DK was new and on backorder. So besides the pack-in Combat, our first game was Grand Prix. I first game I got that was technically "mine" was Firefighter. I enjoyed as a child seeing how high I could let the flames get before doing anything to save the victim.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm Darrin Rose. I'm a long time lurker around these parts. I've started to enter a couple of the label contests in the past, but this is the first time my crazy work schedule has allowed me time to finish what I started. Plus, Q*bert is my wife's favorite game, and one of the few games we play together. Buy or win... this one's a no brainer! The process I used to make the label designs was to first draw it with pencil. Then scan it, and do my "inking" with Illustrator. After that, I took it into Photoshop to finish it off. My idea for the first label was to just get something out there with my personal spin on the characters, the second was to make it look more like a 7800 cart, and the third was to just go crazy and do the characters in the "Saturday Morning Supercade" style.
