  2. He was NARUed not long after I posted my original message but it took the seller 2 to 3 weeks to get eBay to naru the buyer. 2 to 3 weeks! In those 2 to 3 weeks, his sales must have been affected with 89 negative fb that the buyer has posted. I feel sorry for the seller and I am mad at the buyer. As with theoriginalkingfish, I bet newfeetx2 has been suspended only temporarily, probably 30 days. Buyers who abuse neg fb should be banished from the site indefinitely.
  3. only temporarily. fb removed but He's back! And here is another fb abuse from another buyer. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...f&items=100 http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?thr...8&start=320
  4. Just in case you guys don't know, eBay now allow sellers to block buyers who have 2 Unpaid Item Strikes in the past 12 months and buyers who have been reported by other sellers for 4 policy violations in the past 6 months. Previously, sellers could only block buyers who have 2 UPI strikes in the past 1 month and no way to block those for policy violations at all. To use this tool, login to your eBay account, and click this link http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences The link is legit but if you don't trust me or don't feel comfortable clicking the link, you can use the tool another way. Login to your eBay account, click Site Map at the upper right hand corner of the screen, right in the middle under Selling Activities, click Block Bidder/Buyer List, under Buyer Block Exemption List, click Buyer Blocks. Either way should bring you to a page where you can set up your Buyer Requirement. This setting should be applicable to all current and future listings. But just to be sure, you should double check each and every listing, check the Buyer Requirement section and verify if this is the case.
  5. Leaving negative feedbacks for those reasons is one thing but leaving negative feedback just because the sellers do not say thank you is ridiculous. Leaving negative feedback just because the sellers do not give the buyers positive feedback first is also ridiculous. I surely hope that eBay kick out abusive buyers like theoriginalkingfish for good but I doubt that they would do that. Buyers can now leave negative feedback for any reason or no reason. This guy even indicated before hand that he intended to go in a rampage to neg sellers just for the thrill of it. http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?thr...040&start=0
  6. Feedback abuse like this http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ckLeftForOthers is exactly what bound to happen after eBay no longer allow sellers to leave neg feedback to buyers. There will be buyers looking for opportunity to do just like this and some of them may bid your item with impunity.
  7. I am not an expert as I have never opened an eBay store but these are what I know: Store has less Listing Fee but more Final Value Fee. Store has much less exposure since it is always listed at the bottom of the search page. Store has advantage of keep relisting itself until it sells. At any rate, eBay now offer 30 day free trial for first time eBay Store Owner. If you cancel before 30 days have passed, your store fee will be credited to your eBay invoice but not your credit card account. http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200805.shtml#2008-05-02095404
  8. You are right! The seller has just relisted his sixer for the 3rd time. He got 2 deadbeats in a row. First deadbeat at $5100 and second deadbeat at $1925. Has it became hard to sell rare Atari items without having to deal with sport bidders?
  9. I am selling Nintendo Game & Watch Lion Gold in brand new c10 condition. Everything is complete. Please take a look at my eBay listing for more information. Starting bid is just $9.99 with no reserve.
  10. Paypal charge 2.9% + 30 cents + cross border fee if the buyer lives outside your country. This fee applies whether your buyer pays by credit card through Paypal, Paypal balance or bank balance. I think the fee is worth the convenience of being able to be paid right away.
  11. I just want to share some cool links that may be in the interest of some people. 1. http://www.goofbay.com/ebay_tools.html You can now check people pure feedback score by including the neutral and mutually withdrawn feedback in the feedback score calculation. You can check people bidding and selling history in the past 120 days (eBay site only allows you to check their history for 30 days). 2. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/neg90 eBay now will restrict seller whose neg or neutral feedback in the past 90 days is above 5 or 10%. Use the above link to find out if you or your competitor is about to be restricted. 3. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/item-fb This tool will pair feedback by seller and buyer side by side for each transaction. Useful if you are obsessed in only dealing with those who give feedback first. Not to say that I agree with it but nevertheless I give you the link. 4. http://www.terapeak.com/ Very useful in finding completed listings in the past 30 days for free. eBay site only allows you to find one in the past 15 days for free. 5. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Buy...entsActivityLog Are you worried that putting too much restriction in your listing, such as only accepting Paypal or only selling domestically, will hurt your business? Use the above links to find out how many bidders who have been rejected due to your restrictions. 6. http://www.ebay.ph/commIndex Some sellers don't want you to know what they have been selling and therefore make their listings private. With ebay.ph (eBay Philippine), you can unlock their secrets. If anybody else have other eBay related links that provide information not offered in eBay itself, please share with us. Thanks!
  12. http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y07/m09/i11/s02 I am glad that I don't use Paypal to pay shipping cost. I just use the good old pen to print the address and pay by cash to the post office. Paypal shipping is so full of glitches that it is not worth the risk using their service.
  13. Those are random characters, not initials. The real change that they made was to make the bidder actual feedback score visible. Previously, eBay only told you their feedback range, such as 100 to 200 for those who have feedback score of 150. http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200708.shtml#2007-08-24154355 I don't think masking bidder id will completely prevent people from getting scammed. Since eBay only mask bidder user id when the bidding price gets to $200 or above, all the scammers need to do is take a snapshot just before the bid gets to $200. Then by comparing the bidder list before and after the bidding gets to 200, it is very easy to send a fake second chance offer to those who don't win the bid.
  14. Dude, if you are outbid, consider it their lost and not yours. It is their lost because you FORCE them to pay more than they would otherwise pay had you not bid.
