  1. A lot of people don't have a clue what it costs to produce the materials for these games. I've been criticized because I charged for the boxes to a cancelled game (rather than give them away). I've been criticized because I didn't do an new printing of cartridge stickers for the boxed edition of a game that I previously released as 'cartridge only'. I've been criticized for not reprinting a cartridge sticker that started to come off because it was so old, when it could simply be fixed with a swipe of a glue stick. It is too easy for other people to expect you to take a loss on these, especially when they imagine that it costs 'pennies'. I've had people tell me that they won't buy my games unless I box them up. I've had people tell me that they don't want to 'pay for the box'. The fact is that you can't please everybody.
  2. Frank Palazzolo has the data for all of the keyboard component programs I believe. He's been slowly working on an emulator for the Keyboard and has the basic operating on the system. Here is a picture of Frank (in the middle) along with myself (left) and Carl Mueller on the right outside of Detroit in the late 90s I believe.
  3. When Scott Nudds and I were doing research to build the world's first known Intellivision cartridge ROM dumper, we found the Osborne book at our local library when we wanted to find out about the General Instrument CPU and ROMS inside the Intellivision. The book was invaluable and Scott eventually built the device, (described in a chapter of DeRe Intellivision) and we dumped pretty much every cartridge plus the Graphic ROM and The Exec ROM and the ECS Exec ROM that are floating about now.
  4. I have a few copies that I can build. However, I cannot ship them at the moment, because there is no air mail service out of the country. I have no idea when that will change. Unfortunately, you are in Canada, because Tim Naber has 4 copies of D2K SE that he can sell to USA based customers only. $110 US with shipping and PayPal fees included. The limited to 200 copies regular price of D2K SE is/was $100 US. If interested in a copy and you are in the USA, please email: elektronite@hotmail.com
  5. Numbers (score) cannot be displayed during fine scrolling. When we created Boulder Dash, we had to choose between fine scrolling or having the score display. We chose coarse scrolling.
  6. The updated version will be multi-player. However, at this time, Classic Game Publishers, Inc. has no agreement to bring the game to the Amico, so people should not assume that it will definitely be on the Amico.
  7. I've included a few of the more impressive eye candy screens and the art that will be used on the box. The game will probably debut at the Portland show in August.
  8. It is actually an Elektronite game that was developed in association with Kai Magazine. We had a design of a dungeon crawl and teamed up with Oscar Kenneth to do a Swords and Serpents type game. It isn't something that we are simply publishing. Most of the original design had some problems and was not complete in many ways. A lot of the original design was not used and it was greatly improved upon and enhanced by Oscar, and his talents really shine through in this game. One of our testers, despite these not being his type of game is a bit addicted to the game play. The game is complete and in final testing. It is simply a matter of doing the manual, overlays and box. That is what happens in Swords and Serpents and one of the motivations for doing a game such as this. Valter Prette was pushing for this game and is the one that got the design that this game is loosely based on done.
  9. We still have a couple of unclaimed copies. One copy, 99 of 125 was re-assigned and then the new person has failed to pay as well. We will be getting about 100 more copies by March. Until then, I have about 3 copies that are still available. Please send an email to elektronite@hotmail.com if you are interested in a copy now.
  10. Mark, please email elektronite@hotmail.com with Defender of the Crown ORDER in the subject line. Thanks!
  11. Three copies were reserved but not paid for so they are available to anyone who wants a copy. Please email 'Defender of the Crown ORDER' to elektronite@hotmail.com and we will respond with payment instructions.
  12. A few people have not paid. There are still a few copies if you are interested. Please email: Defender of the Crown ORDER to; elektronite@hotmail.com Price is $70 US plus shipping and PayPal fees.
  13. We intend to open sales of the 'complete in box' version at Portland in August. Mail order right after the Portland show. We will be selling materials for loose cartridges as soon as they are available.
  14. Thanks for the interest. We won't be keeping track of people expressing interest however. Hopefully we will have a website to order available products from soon.
