  1. Hey all! I did a quick search for this on the forums and hadn't seen anyone talking about it yet, so I figured I'd post it. SethBling is a youtuber who has a hobby of doing intriguing and / or strange things in games. His recent endeavor is building a functional Atari 2600 emulator in Minecraft. Vanilla Minecraft, specifically, utilizing nothing more than the game's sandbox building environment to pull off the achievement. Granted it runs a little slow at something like 60 frames per 4 hours. Haha! But, run it still does. He has a video up on youtube about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPRkjNDmTlc The technical details aren't entirely accurate (and someone who knows more about the 2600 than I will surely spot even more inaccuracies) but it's a rather impressive achievement nonetheless. I'm always amazed at how ingenuitive some people can be! Enjoy! -Kirk
  2. Sign me up for a complete set! Box, manual, and game! Now this a great way to celebrate Halo's 10th anniversary.
  3. 1997. Freshman in college. I think it was $100 at the local EB. Very disappointed with Trevor Mcfur (but who wasn't. At least it looked good at the time). But then there was Tempest 2000. Ahhh. That was worth the price (not to mention the VLM in the CD, which I got later that year at EB for $50).
  4. I've got a Jag CD if only for the lightsynth. WOOHOO MINTER! (BTW, new Lightsynth by Minter in the XBox 360 Check it out.). It's the only reason I'm even remotely currently considering an Xbox 360 at some point before the bargain bin....
  5. Wow. Head node takes a failure on the raid, I'm out of it for a little while and Gary shows up. Who knew? And a new song! Wonderous it is to mine eyes ... er.. ears! Reminds me of the piano remix of the guild music you guys had up on the ARO site for a spell. Sweet. Welcome to AtariAge Gary! Glad you could join us.
  6. Help me! I'm having flashbacks, repressed memories violently resurfacing!
  7. I dunno, it would still be really cool to have. Especially since I know people with more 5200's than Atari 8-bits. Or maybe I'm just drooling over a large black cartridge with the Alternate Reality label on it.
  8. Welcome! Let's see, I can help with some of these. Shields can be cursed, yes. I'll never forget, my bro found a magical spiked shield! When he equipped it, however, it was cursed. DOH! As for joining guilds, it can't actually be done in The City, sorry (not Atari 8-bit anyway). That was to be implemented in later releases of the game. As for hacking, there some sites (notably www.gamefaqs.com) that have such information. The links at the start of this thread are a wealth of knowledge on all areas AR, not to mention the threads themselves! Read up, it's good for you.
  9. Actually no actual figures have ever been released on either Gold or Classic. I know I, as well as others, have tried multiple times to get those figures from T-bird, but to no avail. Maybe someday we'll know... 907493[/snapback] Not to be a downer or even appear illegal here, and it certainly won't satisfy the collector in all of us, but isn't there a ROM available somewhere?
  10. WOW!!! Can you believe it? LOOK AT THAT! He's not charging $10.00+ for shipping! I think I could actually afford it, now!
  11. For those of you who used to have Nintendo Power, do you recall the odd, yet retrospectively speaking "very important," column in game ratings called "Theme Fun?"
