  1. I got a ver. 2 over the weekend. The cross D-pad is crap. Had to really jam it to go right or down. Play it with any 8-way shooter or something similar and you have real problems, especially with the diagonals. I exchanged it and surprisingly got a ver. 1 in the same packaging (not sure how that works), but it actually goes all 8 ways without issue. Even with the mono sound and such, I like the ver. 1 a lot better overall. As for pushing it a bunch of times to get it to "loosen up," I'm not going to frustrate myself by dying a ton of times for hours in games to get the pad looser. Seems like a waste of time and a recipe for insanity. Wouldn't you just like something to work right from the get-go? I would.
  2. mmm your name doesnt fill me with confidence. Hehe, how about now? Who am I?
  3. Thanks to everyone that checked out this auction. The rare cart package ended up making $251 for the Child's Play Charity. Again, thank you fellow retro gamers!
  4. There's one site I know of (because I help run it) called Video Game Evolution www.vgevo.com that has it's own Classifieds/Auction/For Sale/Trade section that works close to the way eBay works, but without the horrible "take a cut off the profits" fees. You can use online credits to list items, and the community has been good about getting items to people, making it a seemless, "nearly" painless process. It's small, but it's growing. I wanted to help start it for gamers b/c of all the jerky BS of eBay. Wish me luck!
  5. Here's a rare and interesting one for an Atari cart. All proceeds go to charity too. Ends December 15th! Thanks for looking! http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117635
  6. The Video Game Evolution (VGEvo) website is giving back to the community this holiday season by holding a special auction, with all proceeds being donated to the Child’s Play Charity. The auction consists of their first and only VGEvo-themed video game cartridge for play on the Atari 2600 console system called VGEVO Invaders. Right now, this is the only copy of the game in existence, and members of VGEvo have the opportunity to bid on the cartridge and help donate to a good cause at the same time. In addition to the cartridge, the highest bidder will also receive an Atari 2600 console system to play the cartridge, courtesy of The Goat Store. For more information please visit www.vgevo.com or contact Terry Minnich. Note: The auction ends December 15th.
  7. Oh, I know! It took 5 of us to move that Mr. and Mrs. Pac-Man machine from the Events room, through the hallway, into the Vendors area and through the big garage door and into the truck. Whew! My arms were dead!
  8. Do you care if they are originals or not? Because my Arcade Legends machine has most of these, and all the games are licensed (not illegal roms). You can get it all in one cab unless you really want all of them for your space.
  9. Awesome original cabs! Layout and presentation gets a thumbs up from me. I like the Superbowl Shuffle record in the frame. (I have it in my gaming basement as well) Great job!
  10. Yeah, got that medley. It's the clearest one out there...the ones on Digital Press are quite muddled, but beggars can't be choosers. I am also the proud owner of the Missile Command storybook/record and also the Asteroids 33 1/2 rpm record as well.
