  1. Yoshi's New Island. The game is mediocre at best. I'm currently at world 5.
  2. I have never played an MMO, and I never will.
  3. Absolutely. I love SHMUPS. They are some of my favorite games of all time.
  4. Nice. I added it to my wishlist on Amazon.
  5. There is some great discussion here. Another market crash would be nice, for sure. It might force the developers to wake up and stop making crappy games. It might also force the price point for new games into a downward directioon. I never used to be concerned about DLC. I thought, "it's just an expansion pack. PC games have been doing that for years." But then it got to the point where every game has DLC, and the DLC started launching separately on day one. That's where I started to say this is enough. These aren't expansion packs. These are attempts to rip off the consumer. Another big gripe I have is being forced to be connected to the net to play games. This is the only thing stopping me from buying Diablo III. If I pay for a game, I should be able to play it offline. Wanting to do this doesn't make me a pirate. I just don't like feeling like Big Brother (Blizzard) is always watching me while I play. While I have an internet connection and am online all of the time anyway, it isn't fair to those gamers who live in rural areas who don't have an internet connection. Argh. I like how Valvle handles DRM with Steam. Steam's system combats piracy but still gives you a comfortable amount of control.
  6. I saw this video floating around Facebook. I agree with 95% of what the guy says. I am kind of worried that I may drop out of gaming during the next generation or two if developers insist on solely using digitial distribution. I tend to buy PC games on Steam, but only during their massive sales where everything is 75% off. Digital distribution should be cheaper than a physical disc. What are your thoughts? I will warn you that that is long! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePNHfnR-SwA&feature=share
  7. I have pretty much always been a generation behind (except for the last and gen and the current one). When I was 7 I begged my mom for a Nintendo. She couldn't ever afford one, but she gave me her old 2600. As I grew older I bought older consoles as I could afford them with money I earned cleaning my grandmother's apartment. My father gave me an NES he got at a garage sale when I was 12. My first self purchase was a Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. By the time I got those, everyone had a Playstation.
  8. Dragon Warrior III. It's still the best RPG I have ever played, hands down.
  9. I found that they have a good chiptunes station as well. Just do a search for "chiptunes" and you will find it.
  10. Do want! I thought Resident Evil 5 was amazing! Three characters and campaigns? I am sold!
  11. I imagine the game publishers are doing this to cut costs. The sad part is that we will likely see the savings on our end.
